Rado R20852702 wrist watches news:
Seems there may be some guesswork involved, but can anyone help me figure out the year of manufacture for a Patek with movement number 5603xxx / 4750xxx?This is a recent piece where the certificate no longer has the four letter code. Is there another place to look / ask (Henri Stern NY said they did not have that information). Many thanks in advance...
Its about time I posted some new Gruens, so here the firstThe Paul Revere 1932On the 22nd of February, 1732 the first President of the USA was born.To celebrity his bicentennial, in 1932, Gruen came to market with its Washington Series6 watches named after persons in Washington life. This is the one of the pieces, the Paul RevereThe watch is fitted with 15 jewel 315 caliber movementThe case is a Gruen made, 14 carat gold filled, 2 piece with engraved sides]According to the Gruens Collection Book by Bruce Shawkey (currently out of print)The watch was designated as a Strap 216, available as presented, or in 14 carat yellow gold filledThe watch was advertised in both 1933 and 1934, as just the Revere, exactly the same watch, I would assume the name change due to the passing of the celebration! No further ads have been found, to date, past 1934.In 1936, the same watch was advertised as the Paul Revere, but this time the watch was made out of Guildite, Gruens stainless steel, and fitted with
These look really cool. Anybody have or had one? What model? Pics? How is their reliability? Are they a quality watch? Any info would be appreciated.
So I was able to purchase a 18mm deployant clasp and a 20mm/18mm band for my new AT. I now need to purchase a quality Springbar for the deployant. Do I need a 1.5 or 1.8? And do I need to purchase a 17mm instead of an 18mm as some posters mentioned for newer Omega's. Found Seiko branded springbars on eBay. Would that suffice?Thank you in advance.
I would like to acquire a Panerai sometime this year. I am having a few holdups and wanted everyone’s opinion. Below I will list what I know/want.- I love the open case back ala 112- I love the icon logo ala 000- I think I prefer the old ETA movement over the new in-house but not 100% on this fact- I do not want any date / power reserve etc basically a base color doesn’t matter technically just a simple face is the criteria - I believe the “older” models have a screw down back over a newer designMy biggest problem is the simple fact if I can get a new 8 day in house movement with an msrp of 6k for 4-4500 vs a used 112 for 3800-4400 do I see the value in the more preferred dial(not reading 8 days), and easier eta movement for years to come? Or just go with a brand new piece due to the close proximity in price.I also am not knowledgeable on the difference of series, if anyone can shed some light for me?I know I have a lot of criteria and some are impossible and
