Rado 21947 wrist watches news:
Man, I called to pull the trigger on a Breitling Colt II Auto that I've been looking at online, and I find out that it's been sold!C'est la vie, I guess.I suppose I'll just keep up the hunt...
Hey guys, I recently obtained a vintage Ulysse Nardin Chronometer Co. piece at a local store for relatively cheap since I'd seen one before. This is the model in question, but not the actual watch. However, it has a pretty sizable bump in between the 1 and 2 markers on the face, pushing outwards from behind the face. I wasn't planning on cleaning the dial or fully restoring the watch, but I was curious as to whether there was an easy or cheap way to flatten the hill without severely damaging the face apart from taking it to a watchmaker, preferring to err on the side of caution. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the watch at the moment as its waiting for me back home while I'm at school, but thanks for any help regardless.

For Baseworld, Rolex has released a new caliber, the 3255. New Rolex Calibre 3255 watches: Baselworld 2015Among the highlights, is that it has a 3 day power reserve, 14 patents, and the movement is calibrated to be twice as exacting as the COSC standard. Still, as I was reading the press release, many of the features reminded me of ETA's Powermatic 80, such as the new barrel, 3 days of power reserve, new, low friction materials, and COSC version.I realize that Rolex's new movement is produced to a much higher standard, and uses better materials, but shouldn't they have aimed a bit higher on the power reserve? It just seems to me, that at the prices Rolex commands, a seven day reserve should have been the minimum.I'm curious as to what you think and any insights you have on this new movement.
Today I got the call and was excited to pick this up right before Christmas. Sourcing this was much easier than expected and took just under one week from request to delivery. I had mentioned to my AD a few months ago that I would like one whenever they got one in, but I was buying a Christmas present for my wife this past Thursday in the store and said that I wanted it for sure. Since one hadn¡¯t come into the store, I asked if they could source it for me. I went home, and 3 hours later I got a call to say one would be delivered the following week. I was surprised when it arrived today to have my information already printed on the certificate of origin as I have never had one done that way before but it was a nice touch. The watch is just stunning. Its way heaver that I thought it would be (in a good way) and it¡¯s also thinner than expected (also in a good way). First impressions are that it¡¯s a keeper for sure and I think it¡¯s going to be my favorite watch. It is now for sure,
