Rado R13724711 wrist watches news:
Just in this Zenith that it needed some attention. The watch is from the 30¡¯s ¡°not sure of the exact date¡± and is stainless steel; it had some scratches on the steel, crystal and the band which I have since polished out. The luminous materials on the hands were stained black so I redid the hands with new white luminous paint/glue.As is received it before any restoration.Images after restoration.A nice bounce that came with the watch is the stainless steel band which is also collectable. Not many of these bands can be found in good condition. If you find them they usually run for 100-200 dollars. The company that produced the band is Krementz and the band is a Kremaloy step steel band. They were one of the first companies to offer an adjustable steel band on the market. Krementz is still in business today and produce fine jewelry, but do not make watch bands anymore. They produced the Kremaloy band from 1930¡¯s to 1950¡¯s but when Speidel Company came out with their metal Twist-O-Flex ban
Travelling to Germany in August for my 50th - have signoff from my best half to buy.Love IWC, Bell & Ross but not familiar with German brands. Looking for unique - very simple (IWC style) or complex Chronometer ...
Just flipped my Invicta 7176 (green bezel) Pro diver. It wasn't easy emotionally I've had some great memories snorkelling with that watch in Thailand, but I'm in the process of thinning out my collection and saving up for something special. For those who flip their watches regularly (Dennis, etc)...was it difficult to let go the first time?
I was at a beer festival this weekend and litterally stumbled into my next time piece. It(at the time)seems to seemlessly join two of my favorite hobbies. BEER and Watches. You'll have to excuse the photos.......I was at a beer fest. and these were taken from my phone. Yes, that flip-up face over the dial is a bottle opener.I may have one on order by the end of the week. Of course your not buying this for the movment. It would be cool to see what could be done with this besides it's main purpose. the fact that it tells time is just a bonus.Would this be an Homage to a bottle opener?
