So, I had to go by the Bulova Corporate Center located in East Elmhurst Queens NY today. Although Bulova no longer has a presence there, I thought some of you might like to see some photos of the place anyway (iPhone pics, so apologies in advance).First, the main entrance:This is the flag and fountain opposite the main entrance:This is at the base of the flagpole. I can't find any references to this man. Any insights? Here are the two murals (they look like chalk, lol) on either side of the main steps:This is a rotunda of sorts that opens up to the main atrium:Here's the atrium:Main exit corridor:There is a waterfall and stream running through the atrium, but I didn't get any pics, sorry. Hope you liked the pics!
Not that it really matters, but is there a difference between vintage and old?For instance, I have a watch that I bought in the late 1980's, and I'd have a hard time considering it vintage. Same with one I received as a gift in 1972, and one I bought in '95.So, is vintage versus old more about being made before a certain year, or is it more about being representative of the time in which it was made? I'm interested in starting a vintage collection, and to me that means I'd like to get watches from each decade of the 20th century that are identifiable as a style of its era.Maybe I just have a hard time considering something I received new as vintage, 'cause it makes me feel old...
Hello, I was touring Ecuador a few years ago and I picked up a couple of nice Chabbot France watches. I have a birthday coming up and I would like to see If I can pick up another watch. I searched for this watch company to see if I can find a distributer but with no luck. Does anyone know the contact info for this company? I punched in "Chabbot reloj" and "Chabbot Watches" online and I found some images which lead me to some shady websites that promoted fake watches. I'm hoping to find the company and/or a legit distributer. Thanks, Raf
I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on pricing and availability of existing Rolex sport watches in the months after Basel?(Like the Daytona C, Hulk and the BLNR) Will prices come down on older references since there may be New and trendy references released that get all the attention? Will people see new references and want to sell their existing ones to get the latest and greatest? What has history shown or what do you think will happen?
