Raymond Weil 5229-S5-00659 wrist watches news:
Sport and Sports watches are what people are most looking to buy these days. Watches under this category get the most internet searches, and enjoy the most interesting releases. What is a sport watch? And why does everyone want one? The answer is simple, and goes to the heart of what a watch is. First, you need to know what a sport watch is not, namely any watch whose purpose is to be time-telling jewelry. A sport watch is any watch whose purpose (at least historically) is to provide special utility during some activity or event. There are many categories of sport watches, but the main ones are; diving watches, racing watches, pilot watches, military watches, and all purpose rugged watches. Within these categories are tons of sub-styles and types based upon special features or requirements of an activity. Being that work has been slow I've been getting more active again in buying watches from garage sales, flea mkt'sWhat the chances of a novice like myself getting into minor servicing and repairs. It gets pretty costly taking them to jeweler all the time. Would a few books on tools and repairs be sufficient or should I leave it to the pros?
Got this last night and took a few shots today. Really happy with it. That dial is truly mesmerizing! And taken from Mr. H's idea last October. 6 tics per second.
Hi Guys,After a few months of reading up on this great forum about the Planet Ocean I thought I would pull the trigger on a gently used 42mm version if one came along. The look of the watch really appeals to me, sporty yet classic at the same time and which could be worn on pretty much any occasion. Last week I found one at the right price and here it is, couldn't be any happier! I'm glad I went for the 2500 over the 8500 as I don't think I could handle the extra thickness and height. It feels great on the wrist, super comfortable and nicely balanced. As this is my only co-axial I found the initial wind quiet with little resistance, much different to a Speedy Pro or other automatic, is this okay or should I be worried? Would welcome your expertise! (Obligatory wrist shot below!)
