Seiko SNN257 wrist watches news:
There is something to be said for being the first to start it all. When you think of luxury diving watches, other brands might compete for attention, but the mere mention of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is enough to end all discussion on which is the most important diving watch in history. Which other watch can claim to have laid down the blueprint of what we know as the essential aspects of a diving watch? From the depth requirements, the?unidirectional?bezel marking dive time, to the must-have indication of the watch's functioning, these and other?criteria?that have come to define a dive watch would not have come together had two French navy divers been satisfied with the dive watches of their dayIn fact, the Fifty Fathoms from Blancpain has such a long and storied history that if you're a diving watch?enthusiast, the basic facts should be familiar to you. In 1953, French naval diving officers?Captain Robert?Maloubier and Lieutenant Claude Riffaud were charged with creating a new group
In an earlier post "Advice Please" I requested help to determine if the sale price on the watch below seemed fair. A helpful chap named Adam advised me to request pictures of the movement and inside back case which I've now done, see link below. Can anyone advise if this watch appears authentic and, if you feel you are able, if the sale price of ¡ê2577 seems fair.RegardsAudemars Piguet Square Oro Giallo Manuale art. In a fit of patriotic fervour, I decided a while ago to look out for an English made vintage. After quite a bit of research, I started to focus in on Smiths watches, but have been struggling to find one in a reasonable condition and at the right price to justify "dipping my toe". Well today I finally went for one that I really liked, a 1962 model, complete with English made movement. It's pretty much the entry level Smiths watch, but I like it. If the quality is anything like it should be, I'll start to look out for an Everest version, which is apparently the more desirable model, but commands a much heftier price tag. Pics:-Now for something completely different! This is probably a complete POS, but was ¡ê8 brand new and boxed. It's probably made out of paper or plastic or old underwear or something, and I fully expect it to be dead within a month of landing, but I was so curious as to how they could knock something like this out for that little money that I ordered one just so
I have a 15305OR I wear to work quite often and need a sports watch with durability. Therefore, I want a watch with either ceramic or forged carbon material. I have a smaller wrist, and a 44mm is just way too big. The 42 mm is even slightly pushing it. I've been thinking a while about and have decided upon the Ceramic diver with orange accents. It seems these are much harder to find than its counterpart with yellow accents - why is that? I saw a used yellow one for sale around $17k. It seems most others sell just under MSRP even though used....wondering what's a good price range?Since it's a discontinued model, anyone have any leads? Sent from my Zeitwerk
I went to Tiffany & Co to view a 5196G today. Wow! Such a simple, beautiful, elegant watch. I wasn't totally sold on the Tiffany & Co stamp, so I am still trying to decide if I should purchase this one or go through a local AD that I would like to establish a continuing relationship with. Any 5196 lovers out there?
