Hey guysBeen thinking of picking up an AP for awhile now and came across a really good deal. My question is what is the normal discount for a SS model AP? I wasn't planning on making the purchase at this point, I was aiming for the summer but I don't want to pass up if this is a much better deal then what would be had from an AD.Thanks

An Omega...Sort of..
I always get questions when I wear this watch.... Here are fresh pictures..Lanco was made by the Langendorf Company (LanCo) in the mid 1800's, and ceased production in about 1973.. During it's last years, this company was owned by Omega/Tissot and Omega did market the name with Tissot movements.. This great company was a very progressive company and only fell due to mis-management and not because the movements or watches were second-class. It became a victim of the Quartz movement as Omega moved to consolidate and keep itself alive..This one is from the mid-60's, a few years before the buy-out by Omega>You can see the dial shows 45 years of time and also has a touch of moisture issue at the top... however, everything, including the crystal is original (except the strap)The dial is unusual because it has the traditional tachymeter in the black outer chapter, but also has a Telemeter dial with red numbering.. This Telemeter feature allowed you to time those things that traveled a

Patek is so boring
I have been waiting for them to come up with something interesting for years now. I love the minute repeaters but they are out of my budget. Other than that? I dont know.I LOVE the 5159 retrograde perpetual calender. That watch is a piece of art. Its so romantic. So yellow gold. I love it. Is it boring? Kind of. It lacks something. I dont know. But I adore that model. It will be my first PP unless Patek comes up with something new. I am in Geneva now.You guys need to visit this place. Watches and history everywhere. Expensive tho yet the CHF is cheaper than tbe EUR.Nautilus. That rounded octagon shape that still has corners? So not exactly rounded? I find it hideous. Newbie with Durability Question
Hi, I just joined the forum. I have had a Patek 5036 WG since new in 1999. Love the watch and wear it often. I'd like to get my wife a 4936 Annual calendar. My question is, how durable are these watches? My wife is not particularly careful. She wears a Rolex now, and even golfs with it. I know she should not play golf with this Patek. But is this watch too delicate for daily wear in someone who may be careless? She is also looking at a new Rolex which is probably more durable for her. Any thoughts? Thanks
