Seiko SRW026P1 wrist watches news:
The Autodromo Monoposto is the kind of watch that can't help but illicit strong reactions from people. It doesn't look quite like any watch you've seen before, yet doesn't betray what a watch should be. Inspired by the single seat racecars of the early 20th century (monoposto being Italian for single-seat), the Monoposto melds automotive history with elements of classic watch design, to make something altogether unique and exciting. It's as much a car-watch for watch people as a watch for car people. On the surface, you have an elegant case and dial design that border on dress, yet have a distinctly technical component that touches on the vehicular inspirations. And of course, there is the bold and potentially polarizing red line on the domed crystal that refers to the tape or paint mechanics would put on tachometers to inform drivers of their engine's limit.Autodromo Monoposto ReviewCase:? hi there. I've done a bit of searching about my latest acquisition and haven't found a lot to work with to date. The watch has a 'linen' finish dial and is stamped "Benrus Watch Co. Germany" inside the case back. I 'think' that the movement is an FE-140 as i did note '140' stamped just below the balance. Can someone please help identify the likely age (i'm guessing early to mid 60's), model and movement in my Benrus for me? Thanks!
Anyone have any hand on experience with this bad boy?I live in St. Louis and the closest I can come to seeing one in person is Chicago!Sucks.
I just got my new SS Daytona with white dial last week . Love it . Makes me wonder how much wear my older Daytona will get now . Been eyeing the Hulk . Normally wouldn¡¯t even entertain the idea of flipping a Daytona for a sub but since I have the new one I¡¯m tempted . I already have the new sub and love it also . Sure could use opinions as to what you would all do . Keep and have 2 White dial Daytona¡¯s or let old one go for the Hulk ? Thanks ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My exciting news I wanted to share with TRF. After much internal and external deliberation I decided on my 3rd (!) watch. A Yachtmaster 116622 blue dial bought new from DavidSW. It joins its siblings: SubC 11610LN (AD purchase) and a Explorer II 16570 (my first DavidSW purchase). Two things...1. Both my DavidSW purchases went smoothly without any drama or complications. For this recent purchase, I had the watch in my hands in less than 24 hours after wiring him the money. Watch is exactly what it was advertised to be and he even set the time and date for me!2. Anyone see a watch my small humble collection can use/is missing? Rolex, of course. I am open to a 4th watch if funds allow by the end of the year.
