Greetings, everyone.I am brand new to this forum (and thanks to John Holbrook for his assistance in enabling me to get started) and would like to gather impressions from fellow owners of Muehle Glashuette watches. Muehle, I gather, is a tiny company, relatively speaking, with under fifty employees altogether, turning out only about fifteen thousand watches per annum. But, I also gather, it enjoys quite a solid reputation for quality.I purchased the Muehle sports model (the smaller of the two, about 38 mm, with steel band) in Munich last summer, having never before owned a German wristwatch (and having never been even aware that Germany had a thriving watch-making industry!).The Muehle keeps extraordinary time, gaining on average .7 seconds per day, never more than a second, never less than a quarter of a second. That level of accuracy, in a watch costing less than a thousand dollars, would seem to put it in a fairly rarified company. It certainly means that I can set it and forget it

Because of my love of nice watches and this forum, I felt I just had to have another watch. However, I simply don't like much of the current models offered by Rolex, especially when I factor in the prices. Although I must admit I read with interest about the Explorer moving to a 39mm case. Nonetheless, I didn't feel like waiting for one to show up at the dealers nor paying the price that will be asked for the new upsized edition.I can't express how much I really love my 36.2mm Railmaster, and I just knew a 39.2mm would look even better on my 8 3/8 wrist. The real attraction of the 39.2mm Railmaster is that unlike a 40-42mm sport watch, the extra size is used to enlarge the dial, not add a big bezel.
