Seiko SRLZ96 wrist watches news:
Bronze watches are increasing in popularity by the day; a trend we are wholeheartedly supporters of. Bronze watches (sometimes brass, and of varying alloys) integrate really well into a watch collection. Usually of the tool watch variety, the warm metal hints at gold, but has a toughness to it that is altogether unique. For a few great examples of bronze watches, check out our reviews of the Archimede Pilot, Halios Tropik B, Ancon Tank, Maranez Layan and our look at the Makara Octopus Prototype.Part of what makes the metal so unique, and popular, is that it patinas over time. The metal oxidizes, creating a layer of brown, green and black marks that give each watch a distinct look. The darkening color and random nature of the patina adds to the rugged look of the metal, and the slow change and distinct wear speaks to the owner's life and style. The patina itself is actually protecting the metal, preventing corrosion, which is why bronze is often associated with marine equipment. Now¡ pat
I decided i will overhaul my 1994 rolex seadweller. Rolex servicenter of Dallas Tx said it would be $550 for the overhaul and over $300 for the dial and hands replacement. Do you recommend keeping the tritium dial and hands (which I have now) which have lost their illumination. Should i have them replaced with the luminova dial and hands? I read that the tritium dial and hands will be more valuable if i leave them on the watch instead of replacing. They are in perfect shape, they just don't glow in the dark anymore. The watch stops once a month now. I read that it has something to do with the rotor. When i wind it up it keeps excellent time. So i figure it will need an overhaul in the next 2 years.
Well, continue to getting the purchases made this monthI received/got this four Eco-Drives, so now the family of Eco-Drives have six members, and one more coming (the minute repeater BL9000-59F)So, behold!!! Citizen Eco-Drive SkyhawkThis is the first time that I see the Promaster logo in the Skyhawk, maybe the Latinamerican version? as this was bought locallyCitizen Eco-Drive BT0002-52ECitizen Eco-Drive BL8002-08ACitizen Eco-Drive AT1160-61AI love this dial, altough a little confusing to read, but you get used to it...Well, I'm a declared impulse buyer, but a selective one :D, I guess that I wanted to get some variety with a good level of quality, instead of getting one single watch...
Hi, this is my first post, i'm looking for some advice..I recently had a Boss watch that had a Miyota OS20 movement, it cost ?400. I had problems with time-keeping and the alignment of the subdials, so after 2 replacements I packed it in and got a full refund.I am now interested in buying this Rotary watchbut it looks like it also uses the OS20 movement. Should I trust this movement again, perhaps rotary have made better use of it than Boss?I am also tempted by this victorinox however, and the fact that it is swiss made. Will the ETA movement be more reliable than the miyota?Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Hi guys, i've just recently pulled the trigger on the 26320rg, been wearing it for a couple days now after returning from the Bahamas. Absolutely love the watch, I have to say AP's finish is topnotch, the rose gold really catches the light so well. one the of best and most balanced chronos ever made imho
