Seiko Kinetic Diver's

Sentinal, Vancott(?), Frankenstein!
I think I may have gotten my hands on a Sentinal Frankenstein from the bay ! Franky's not so scary really, this is actually fun! Plus, it was only $100. It was listed as a Sentinel with a 987S movement (#SS66142) and has an S&W, 10K gold filled case (#S811075). It looks exactly like photos of the Vancott:vintagewatch.info/Detail%...%20-%2010K.htmand hereHamilton of the Day: Vancott, except that the outer minute numbers are somewhat obstructed by the raised crystal (incorrect replacement), or, the case itself may be too small too . Something is off; I hope it's just the wrong shape of crystal. I'll know more after taking it to the AD next week for evaluation.So, assuming it only needs a proper crystal replacement, does anyone out there have one lying around gathering dust?Thanks!P.S. By the way, how many of you noticed this one on the bay last week and passed?

Favorite LE Speedy?
I was thinking about buying my first Omega. Due to it's cool history, I gravitated (no pun intended ) toward the moon watch. Then I leaned toward maybe a LE one for Apollo 11, since after all that was the mission that the first watch was worn on the moon. The 45th anniversary is not for me, but I do like the 40th and 35th anniversary models. So I thought I would pose the question....what is your favorite LE Speedy?I normally like to have a date function, but to stay true to the classic design, I figured I could move the chrono second hand to correlate with the date each day? Does anyone else do that?Thanks!

Design logic of the maxi case lugs
Hi all,I am wondering about the design logic (i.e. proportionality) of the wide lugs of the present-day Sub (116610).When you look at the Sub, if you were to place the watch flat on a sheet of paper, put the tip of your pencil at the edge of the case close to the 9 o'clock marker, and then trace along the edge of the case progressing towards the lug, then continue that line on it's trajectory, would it eventually meet the bracelet?If so, where? (Perhaps at the clasp?) If not, would the line parallel the taper of the bracelet? (i.e. Is there a mathematical relationship between the proportionality/taper of the case and bracelet?)Any ideas or opinions very welcome.Thanks,David
