Seiko Seiko 46442 wrist watches news:
I recently purchased a Sandoz Explorer Homage. When I pull the crown out to manually wind the watch the stem spins but doesn't engage to wind the watch. I can set the time and as long as the watch is on a winder I am fine.Is this an easy repair?Anything else I should be concerned about?
A post on the NAWCC wristwatch forum led me to start research on Girard Perregaux High Frequency Gyromatic chronometers. The movement is one of the most accurate produced at that time, and in 1966, 70% of the chronometer certificates issued were for G-P HF chronometers. So I made an offer on one I found and it was accepted. It's from the mid-1960's, stainless steel case in nice condition, nice dial, recently serviced, and on a G-P signed bracelet. I'll post seller photos after work and my own after it gets here.
So today I took in a watch for partial payment. It is an omega ladies 14k white gold watch. I have tested the gold and know it is real. The watch is not currently running but I think it, with a good spa treatment, work and be nice again. Pictures are below but incase you can't read the markings they are as follows: inside of case back has triangle with omega symbol and omega watch co underneath that is 14k goldThen aa8928 and the case sn after that. Movement: omega watches seventeen 17 jewels. Swiss unadjusted the omega symbol and 484 ( movement #) and a movement sn.Thanks in advance! I believe that this is from the mid to late 60s as I know the movement didn't come about until 63 and I found one similar but in yellow gold with an earlier sn from 1966.
Seen this baby at the AD and just had to have it :) it is such a beast ! I've owned the DSSD and can say it wears slightly taller but it is just so nicely made :)The 9300 movement is truly breath taking ! Amazing attention to detail, a true keeper I think :)Onto the pics :)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361893.513975.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361909.840584.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361925.381492.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361936.885585.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361947.425018.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361958.847219.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1436361973.837360.jpg
Hi guys! Looking to purchase my first Panerai and got it down to either the 1090 or 1312. I tried both at my local AD and can't decide. I was hoping I can get some insight from you guys/owner exxperiences. Also, the AD offered me 15% off the price; is that a good discount for these two models? Thanks guys!
