Testing accuracy
Okay, I spoke to Zin about this via PM a couple of weeks ago and I was not able to do it. So, I am coming to everyone to see if there is something I am missing. I admitted to Zin that I think it was me rather than the watch. I am trying to track the accuracy of my PO, and I have used timetracker and time.gov and they both yield, when I compare it everyday huge differences to a watch that is brand new. So, this leads me to believe that I may be doing something wrong. What I do with both websites is set my watch to them to the exact second. Then I watch it everyday for about a week. As the week progresses the time gained is excessive by my PO. Do these websites, when refreshed, punch out different seconds or something? I have seen, from timetracker, a while 1 minute and 52 seconds gained by my watch, as with time.gov it is about 56 seconds. I just can't believe that a brand new Planet Ocean could be losing this amount of time.

My First New-Old Watches
Hey guys,So I recently decided I wanted to buy a new watch. I was all ready to spend a pretty penny on a new watch, but couldn't find a "style" I liked. I decided to look at vintage watches, and decided on a Hamilton. I found one in a local watch store. The owner didn't really know much about it, other than it being from the 1950s. It looks to be in really good condition, so I am assuming refinished dial. It was only $140 and the owner let me take it to a watchsmith to have them look at it, so I figured it was worth it (worse case scenario I have a decent looking watch, haha). It has a 661 movement in it and the watchsmith said it was in excellent condition. I have scanned the 1950s catalogues that were posted on the forum and none of them jumped out as being this watch I figured if anyone could tell me about this watch, it would be someone here! Do you think the 44mm ROO will Replace the 42mm ROO and why?
there has been some talk around the forum that the all new AP ROO 44mm is going to one day replace the 42mm ROO.i wanted to get everyone's take on this? I personally think the 42mm is a classic and around to stay. AP needs different choices for different clients. If they eliminate the 42mm, then what about those people who prefer smaller sized watches?But then again it still kind of confuses me because we are only talking about 2mm larger here which is not much.. Because the new ceramic rolex submariner is slightly larger than the older counter part.. rolex wanted to beef up the sub a bit so they got rid of the older size.on the other side, rolex still kept the daydate once they launched the daydate II..Im just comparing to other watch houses and trying to see the trend if there is one? Maybe Rolex isn't a good company to compare AP to as rolex watches have never been as large as AP Roo's to begin with.
