AP Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph
Audemars Piguet’s new Millenary Carbon One is a technical wonder. The case is forged carbon, an ultra-light material developed by AP. The middle section of the case is created by placing a set of threaded carbon filaments inside a mold. The wire, measuring one millimeter in diameter, is itself composed of several thousand 7-micron carbon fibers held together by a resin wire. Placed end to end, these filaments are equivalent to 22.7 meters of carbon wire and 102.2 km of carbon fibers. The mold is then compressed at high temperature at pressures of over 300 kilos per square centimeter. This process results in a material composed of 76% carbon and 24% polyamide. The hardness of 626 Vickers can be compared with the 420 Vickers score for alacrite, another highly resistant material. The case middle and lugs are made all of a piece. Only one owner, originating from an Austrian AD (I curr. reside in Vienna), properly used, but not abused; my dealer decided not to do anything to it so that the buyer could decide. Should I trade my 213?
Bought it recently but for some reason it's just not pulling me in.I've been looking for something similar to a 372/390372 is a bit big at 47mm whereas the 390 at 44mm is just perfect since that's the same size as the 213.I've been thinking about the BLNR as well. That's the only Rolex that i'm interested in.

I often wonder what attract people to certain watches. Specifically a variant of a particular watch. Take the 114060 and the 116610LN for instance? I get that it boils down to personal preference. I personally am not a fan of the new SD. I love my 16600 and 14600. Has no date and looks classic to me. I guess what it boils down to is that I had a conversation with a sales guy today at another AD in the NE. I wanted to look at a 114060 and was basically talked out of it today. His position was if it didn't have a date, it wouldn't appear to others as a Rolex or wasn't a 'real' one. I laid my DT-C on the counter and said, This doesn't have a date, is this not real based on your explanation and may I please see the watch I asked about? He was perplexed for two reasons I imagine. One: He had never seen one in person, and how was it that I had one. In other words, a date signifies Rolex in his millennial eyes. I let him talk. I personally don't buy Rolex for what others think.
