We have quite a few collectors who specialize in certain brands, especially vintage. First question: What attracted you to that brand? I've also noticed a few of you have started to branch out to another brand or two, which leads to the second question: why are you expanding your focus? Lastly, what is the biggest worry about leaving your comfort zone?For me, I started in vintage with Bulova because they have something for everybody and were relatively inexpensive. As I got more experienced, I moved to Omega because of the history and quality. Along the way I discovered a few other brands. Longines is one I'm getting acquainted with a little at a time. There's a couple JLC's I've done some research on also. Hamilton is such a great company that takes you back to the days that "Made in America" really meant something, and there's so much great information out there that a few of our members have published. need help with two new watches I just bought
Hello everyone I just bought two new watches today at T.J. max sorry if I was'nt allowed to menchend were I got them from anyway one of the watch'es I bought was a vostok- europe tu-144 on the back it's numberd 956out of 999 but when I did some research I could'nt find nothing indicading it was a limited edtion and my second question is do or would you guy's considera wenger dual time gmt watch too be a pilots watch in other words it featuresa gmt hand which I can set seprately.P.S I know I spell bad.O by the way got both for only $82.00

Which would you buy? Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra or IWC Pilot Mark XVII? Both comparable in price, performance & style albeit technically one is a diver and the other a pilot's watch.

Question for you one-watch Nautilus wearers, if there's any out there:Are there times you don't wear the Nautilus? Do you wear something else, or go wrist-commando?I've been debating getting a tool watch. Thoughts run from $400 Hamilton to $4,000 Sub. I just bought an AP Royal Oak moon phase, but that's hardly the tool watch I had in mind. And now that I'm wearing my Nautilus for the first time in the three days since I got the AP, I'm beginning to think I want Patek and nothing else. And believe me, that Royal Oak is a fabulous watch from every point of view. I'm not looking for advice here on which tool watch to get. Rather, I'm looking for thoughts on being a one watch (or one brand) guy if anyone out there can identify with that! As always, thanks in advance for responding to my inquiries (none of which have any bearing on the truly important things in life!) Just a hobby to enjoy when we can, right? Cheers!
