Seiko SUR150 wrist watches news:
I got my wife's camera card and found a few more. You can see the Swatch clearly here. It's a good watch for a 13 year old. Actually, it's a pretty good watch for anyone. And the Daytona...The Space Needle and the view from the Space Needle...The Experience Music Project, with interactive exhibits (no photos allowed; oops!)...
from europastar.comApril 03, 2008 By Keith W. Strandberg There is a watch for just about every customer nowadays. Watches are continuing to get more specialized and one of the more interesting niche categories that is becoming increasingly popular is the ¡®extreme¡¯ watch. How do we define extreme? How about a watch with such high specifications that customers will never even come close to exceeding its limits? For example, it used to be that a watch with 200 metres of water resistance was the exception rather then the norm - pretty extreme and only designed for hardcore divers. Now, 200 metres is nothing compared to the water resist-ance of the Girard-Perregaux Seahawk II Pro (1,000 metres) or the Bell & Ross Hydromax 11100 M, which is water resistant to 11,100 metres - well over 36,000 feet.Being extreme could be construction, with extra shock absorption (like Jaeger-LeCoultre's Extreme World series); materials, like Rado's extremely hard watches that can't be scratched, even by a di
I am closing in on a limited edition [numbered] watch. As with all OCD WIS, I also have my quirks and a new question is on the tableThe back of the case is inscribed with number/run (for example 412/1000). Dealers have told me that it is common for the first 10 items (single digits) as well as the last 10 to be reserved/exclusive to VIP clients of the brand. Likewise, the repeating 111, 222, 333, 444, etc. In addition, some "nice looking", mirror or other combinations may be harder to come by, like 123/321 or year of purchase, like 2011/3000 (if you bought it in 2011, for example). In your experience, is there any way to "call" the number, or at least say "anything but the digit 3" where 413/1000, for example, would be a no-Go? Is there any way to list maybe 20 or 30 possible combinations on a wish list and have the dealer request this? How does the limited edition/numbered watch buying go? What is your take on the topic? Thanks for sharing
Does anyone know much about Anonimo watches? I'm considering an Anonimo D-Date II Steel & 18kt Gold 42mm. Any thoughts?
I've been a diehard Daytona guy for over 20 years and still love them. I have every Daytona I've ever purchased (always new from an AD) save for a yellow gold / croc strap which I traded out of last fall. I got the itch/bug or impulse to finally step up to an Audemars after eyeing them in Europe (never have seen an American wearing an Audemars here or there) and when I first started wearing the 41mm Chrono last fall, it wore REALLY big and all the shiny bits only made it seem bigger. It is very comfortable and I LOVE the look of it. The blue face on mine, REALLY sets it off and that is what seems to catch some people's eye. I got another very special Audemars while I was still weak and still in love. Now, carrying the watch bug in me, I started looking at the PP and found 5167a from an AD in FL and scooped it up straight away. Man, it wears SMALL compared tot he 41mm Chrono! It's very light, thin and so practical, especially with the rubber band, it's now my EVERYDAY wear (I don't wor
