Swatch SUOP102 wrist watches news:
Hi!I'm new and was hoping that you guys could answer some Omega questions I had.I am looking to purchase my first Omega Watch. I really like the Speedmaster and have looked at several. The Aniversary model, the Professional, and I have seen an Automatic on Amazon.I like the tought of the auto winding movement, if it is reliable, and the face lay out is the same as the Professional which I really like. But I have been unable to find this model listed on Omega's website, which concerns me a little. Also in the retailers I have visited some have had signage cautioning against purchasing Omegas online, and I have heard of Omega refusing to honor the warranty if purchased online or from a non-Authorized dealer.I contacted Amazon with my questions, and they were unable to tell me if they were an Authorized retailer, if the waranty would be void (although they apparently offer there own 3 year warranty), if Omega would work on it on my dime if the warranty were void, or really anything else
I have very suddenly got the opportunity to buy one of these beautiful pieces. But I like both of them for slightly different reasons.Several months ago, I had the opportunity to try on a "Dummy" version of the 5205G which had the darker dial, and I thought it was just perfect, the size was right so was the weight and the apertures were easy to read. Then a couple of weeks ago, I tried on the 5726A and I was quite surprised by how heavy it was and how chunky it looked and felt. Both pieces sit on my wrist very nicely. Now I am of two minds, do I go down the sports route (5726) with its rugged good looks, unique style case, luminous hands/batons and that 120m water depth. And guarantee. But with a set of slightly smaller apertures that are easily covered up by both the minute and hour hands.Or the equally new and beautiful 5205G with it's 40mm diameter case, very different concave designed case and the lugs which appear to have been sculptured. The apertures are better, imo located and will
Got the pocket watch with no crystal. I'm a real novice to this fascinating hobby so am a tad unsure about the measurements even with the micrometer. Does anyone have any info on what the original crystal was like? Domed or flat, thickness, size, etc would sure help. I assume the original crystal was glass as it was made in 1912 according to the Elgin Ser no. Recommendations of a good source would help too. Thanks!
I'm thinking of selling my PO 2500 42mm and replacing it with a SM300 Master Co-Axial. I love the PO but something about the SM300 keeps drawing me in. Anyone else with a PO 2500 who made this trade? I'm worried I'll regret letting the PO go but feel the SM300 might be the better overall, everyday watch especially in an office environment.I have a similar thread over at watchuseek, just looking for thoughts/ideas. Thanks.
Yellow or white gold Daytona oysterflex?
