TAG Heuer WV1410.BA0793 wrist watches news:
In episode 20 of HourTime we talk about some of the great Bell & Ross watches of Basel 2010 as well as what a "Chronometer" is. I don't think there have been any Bell & Ross Chronometers though. Still, you are gonna love the Vintage BR 123 and 126 models, as well as the BR03-92 Military Ceramic. We also talk about the Eterna Kontiki Diver that was suddenly brushed under the rug and became the Porsche Design P'6780 Diver watch.Listen to HourTime Show watch podcast episode 20 here.
I thought this might be an interesting topic since AP recently started the new 5 year warranty. Since AP service costs so much and their movements seem to be a little less reliable than say a rolex imho I think the 5 year warranty adds a significant value to the watch. I don't mean to say that Rolex is a better movement but just that it is more simplified and requires fixing less often from my experience. Say you were looking at two AP watches to buy. One is from 2016 and one is from 2017 and both are LNIB. the 2016 watch only has 2 years left on the warranty while they 2017 watch has a full 5 years. What is 3 extra years warranty on an AP worth to you in terms of $$$? To me it is EASILY worth $1000. Do you agree?
I've got my eye on a Rolex 116515ln, black dial, but I've been thinking of alternatives at the price point: ~$22k. Anything else I should consider? Pre-owned, but under warranty would be ideal, and something 40mm or less would be preferable: I have a 6.5 inch wrist. I like the 116515ln because of the ceramic bezel, and I'm currently lacking a chronometer. I rotate daily between a PP 5711 and 5164, so scratches happen, but some ceramic protection would be nice, especially on a PM watch, so there's less to worry about.

Hi guys, I recently acquired a 14060 and 16710. Very happy with both. I have small wrists, about 6', so the 5 digits feel more comfortable compared to the newer 6 digits pieces. However, because the number of removable links is lesser than the 6 digit bracelets, the clasp doesn't sit nicely in the middle of my wrist. My question is 1) will removing a permanent link or 2 lower the value of the watch in the future when I want to sell it off2) if I sell it later would it be an issue for the new owner to add more links to the braceletAppreciate any comments, especially from guys who have done it before. Many thanks!
