TAG Heuer CV2014.FT6014 wrist watches news:
Right now, we're in a golden age for dive watches. Companies such as Giovino, Palladium and others have made it possible to start your own company with as few as 400 watches, and the Internet has enabled the global reach that lets a niche company flourish. There are many out there, but for this post I'd like to collect my current favorites, representing a range of styles and prices, and in no particular order.Ocean7 LM-1 PVD with PVD sapphire bezelWhy I like itThis one is kind of like buying a car - tons of options, both pre and post sale.Sapphire bezel. PVD case or cold-hardened steel. Optional chronometer-rated movement. Killer luminosity. Good bracelet. Great price ($1,322 maxed out). User-changeable bezels to mix up the look. Workhorse ETA 2824 movement. What's not to like?Things I dislikeYou can see some distortion from the curvature of the crystal, and I'd prefer just white hands instead of Plongeur style orange. Minor nits.OWC 5517 MilsubWhy I like itLumed ceramic bezel. Antiref
At Baselworld 2010, watch connoisseurs were pleased to witness the appearance of a new Bulgari Daniel Roth technically and aesthetically sophisticated timepiece - the Tourbillon Chrono Rattrapante. The split-second chronograph function provided by the movement is shown by two seconds hands in the center: the traditional chronograph hand and the superimposed split-second hand. When you switch on the chronograph push-button, the two hands start moving at once - they are ideally synchronized.
Hi, I've been drooling on a 3573.50 or 3572.50 for a while. Also, have been keeping track on ebay sales of this caliber and looks to me the GFC has not impacted too much on the prices of this watch, always approx US$2k to US$2.2k somewhere there, for a 95%+ condition example with box+papers and full links. Is this a correct observation?ThanksKai
I absolutely love the science behind the materials of this watch, and would have absolutely bought the PAM 692 if it came out in a 44mm instead of just the 47, but it wasn't meant to be. I haven't been able to find out whether there other BMG watches on the horizon, as this watch was limited production, but I thought I recall reading that Panerai may be making more of these in the future.
How do you clean your Rolex? I'm worried that if I use a brush to clean my piece some hairline scratches especially on the polished part will show.Any experiences of this happening? I use an old toothbrush btw
