TAG Heuer CAV511C.BA0904 wrist watches news:
Is anyone getting a Longines for Christmas? If so, which one?And if not, which one would you like? (and reasonably expect)I'm not getting a Longines (I am getting a watch, however!), but if I was I would have a hard time choosing between the Legend Diver and a white of blue faced HydroConquest. I love the retrograde, but that is a bit unrealistic considering I only just got my Moonphase a few weeks ago. If it came down to it I think at this stage I would go for the Legend Diver.Thinking more, I actually think my next Longines will be vintage, a vintage chrono with size of at least 40mm. But I have never received (or given) a pre-owned Christmas gift before, so never really considered this option. Hmm, maybe.
Apparently REAL Waltham mechanical watches are still made in Switzerland and marketed in Europe and Japan Waltham | The manufacturer of fine Swiss wrist and pocket watchesbut here in the United States another firm owns the Waltham name and uses it to peddle 15 dollar Chinese throwaway watches? Does anyone here own a watch mfg by the current Waltham International? Looks to be a fine watch and worthy of the legendary name. Wish we could buy them in the USA rather than the name being dragged thru the mud by an importer of inferior below Wal-Mart grade timepieces. Wp
Hi, I'm a little bummed right now. I got my AP Diver 15710 in August. It's been running +8 seconds fast per day consistently since I got it. I'd like +2 - +4 seconds at the most but okay. I contacted Clearwater who were super informative and helped me out extensively in strap choices and bracelet info including pics etc. However, I was told the tolerance is +12 seconds for the 3120 movement but I was still able to send it in for an evaluation. So, that said, I figured I'd hold off and wait until I send it in for the service extension. Until now. I didn't wear the watch much since Wednesday. But I did wind it 30 times on Thursday and again 15 times before putting it on Saturday morning. Mid Saturday the girlfriend quoted a time and I said she was wrong. She held up her phone and showed me. I look at my watch which was slow by about 4 minutes. I double checked with my phone and she was correct. I reset my watch to my Watchville reference time. And checked exactly 12 hours
I just won an auction from Fellows in the UK. I thought it was USD and apparently it's Pounds. Do you think I got a decent deal?
