It is probably my most favorite interpretation of the dial on Nicolas Rieussec impressive Montblanc timepieces. For 2011 Montblanc will publish a few versions of this watch Nicolas Rieussec chronograph Anniversary Edition. [IMG] The dial has many subtle changes to it, and the result is something extremely prestigious in appearance and beautifully refined. The dial itself is engraved Guilloche machine. The case is about 43 mm wide and available in any 18 k Rose Gold White, gold or Platinum (Platinum version has a Crown of white gold 18 k).

Can I wind the watch too much? I pulled the knob out and kept on turning counter-clock wise it's keep on going and going. if it's fully wound, does it stop?

Gruen started in 1874, the movements were made in Switzerland, and they were cased and adjusted in the USA.In 1947 Gruen rented some warehouse space from The American Playing Card Co in Cincinnati , Imported the machine from Switzerland, Had to get special permissionbecause the Swiss did not want to lose their secrets!!! and started to produce the 335 movement, which was used in the Gruen Barclay aka the Spider, also the Gruen 21 .Just to add to the problems with Gruen history this movement was also made in Switzerland.So some 21 watches will be mark Swiss, some will be plainGruen also made the 250 21 jewel in CincinnatiWhere all the other watch company's were moving their manufacturing away from the States, Gruen moved it in The company fail in 1958.

thinking about a German watch, leaning NOMOS... need advice
Is there any common wisdom on a "safe" choice from among the various NOMOS offerings? By "safe" I mean "as close to bulletproof as possible" wrt reliability. I live in the States and serving would be a bit of a pita should it become necessary. I like the Orion and the larger Club models. I'd be interested in hearing the good bad and ugly about any of them, though.Also, how good is fit and finish overall? I've only seen pics, which don't always represent well in real life.What say you?
