Hi Folks: I was wondering if there are people here who tend to specialize in collecting Elgin watches and what they find challenging and attractive about this line of watches. I probably see more Elgin watches than anything else and I will agree that they can be very pretty. For myself, though, there seems to be way too much variance among the many pieces. I had the opportunity to establish a nice relationship with a sales associate at an Omega Boutique. He really knew his Omega stuff and I could tell he was a true WIS through our conversation. Based solely on his professionalism and politeness, I decided to purchase a few buckles and a new strap and pay full MSRP instead of going through my normal online discounted sources. I even told him so and he was appreciative since, as a WIS, he knows that there are plenty of places to buy watch goods online. My items arrived April 1st and I stopped by April 2nd to pick them up. I asked the gentleman I had been working with if I could just buy some of them and hold the strap for my wife to pick up as she mentioned it would be a gift. He was more than accommodating and I told him she would be in during the month sometime. He said not to worry and he would be happy to hold it for her as long as needed. New Liquid Ocean
My first post so hello everyone. Joined this forum as I wanted to buy a Rolex as my first high end watch.But after looking around this Omega thread I was mightily impressed with the new Omegas especially the PO,s. Was on the verge of buying Rolex when I ventured into my local Omega AD and what did I see.. A brand new Liquid Ocean. They had been waiting one year for it and it only recently arrived. Nothing I have seen lately ( and I have seen pretty much everything up to my price point ) comes close to this. I am well happy as I thought they would all be gone..... Would post pics but my blackberry did not do the watch justice I,m afraid. to clarify. Managed to source a brand new PO Liquid Ocean 42mm LE for a great price too...
