ALERT: Deep Sea scam going on in Georgia, Florida... All read and pass along.
I just wanted to alert everyone in Georgia, Florida (and other areas as well) of a scam working in the area. A local (Tampa Bay) Jeweler I do business with called me to come to his store and help him inspect/authenticate an "M" serial Deep Sea. The whole story sounded bogus from the beginningThe watch turned out to be a fake, but I have to tell you it looks GOOD!! You must remove the bracelet and inspect the numbers Of course there is no Serial Number at the 6 (which is normal since the serial is inside the bezel), but the wording "STAINLESS STEEL" (As well as the Ref # info at the 12) has a very PIXELATED engraving (but VERY GOOD), instead of the usual smooth (diamond cut edge) look. The serial number is M646829 and they use the same number on all the watches. However, the reference number is INCORRECT "116117", but I never even noticed at first.The rubber gasket in the TripLock crown looks very convincing. The SELs have a little bit of a roughness to the edges and the numbers i

Wow....all these 'INCOMING" threads lately, and many of them trumpet SEIKO Orange Monster or Black Monster....I am sure I am not the only one who gave in after seeing all the pictures here, reading and learning about this great watch and no no doubt once of the 'best bangs for the buck' mechanical piece out there.Let's see the show of hands....how many of WatchTalkForum readers purchased Seiko OM or BM in 2009 ??......1......

Vintage Heuer Re-Edition?
While feeding my addiction of looking at watches on the web I stumbled across this watch which I'd never seen before but am totally enamored with. Apparently it's a re-edition of a vintage Heuer Carrera but searching the web I can find very little information on it or the original model. From what I've found it was released in the mid-'90s and is model #WS2112 but it doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere as it was probably a limited edition and has been discontinued.If anyone knows more about it (or the original model) I'd love to know more.Thanks :-)

Omega 9300 movement modification??
Does anyone know if there is any consideration at Omega to reduce the size of the 9300 movement to fit inside a 42 or 43.5mm planet ocean case? And/or possibly reducing the thickness to that of the new GMT movement?

Hello everyone, not sure if there is a similar thread out there but was curious so I decided to start a poll. I noticed there is an extreme amount of love on this forum for the 5711 blue dial and I am one of them. I saw similar love for 5712 but not quite as much. So was wondering if price was exactly the same how many would opt for a 5712 instead.
