- I was looking for the perfect gold/chronograph/blingy watch for over a year. A bunch of my friends all found luck with MK watches (which ate very common and expected.) I saw this watch in stores and fell in love with it!!! It's hand down an awesomely sexy watch.

- Can't believe how great this watch looks in person. Was worried bc it looked really nice in the pics but was so inexpensive. In person, it looks even better. Gave it to someone who only has a Cartier and a Breitling and they loved the watch, of course didn't mention that I got the watch for a song.

- concept is good, but it doesnt fall correctly. unless you plan on keeping you arm lifted and perfectly still. Its also too heavy. i ordered gun metal and after two uses the color was chipping off, also i went to dinner, washed my hands in the ladies room and the entire face of the watch was cloudy for two days.

TAG Heuer 47120/000P-9216 wrist watches news:
In the 1960's and 1970's it was fairly common in the dive watch world for a case maker to sell their cases to a variety of different watch companies who would brand the dial and sell the watches as their own. Caribbean, Squale and the EPSA Super Compressor cases are all well known examples of this marketing practice. Another but less well known case is the Sous Marine brand, which appropriately translates to "undersea" or "submarine". While not nearly as famous as the Caribbeans or as sought after by collectors as the Super Compressors, the Sous Marine watches were well built tool divers that frankly came out looking pretty darn good. Some of the ‘illustrious’ brands found on the Sous Marine dials include Yema, Huf Prestige, Kelbert, Tinnes, Bernwatch, Magador and Edma Super. Not quite the same cach¨¦ in that list as Longines, Universal Geneve, Jenny, O&W and Bulova found in the Caribbeans or Super Compressors, right? The French brand Yema is easily the most recognizable
Why does the Yacht Master have endlinks that protrude out of the case lugs unlike the other Rolex watches that have the endlinks flush? Can't think of a proper reason and I'm not sure I like the way it looks too. How do these watches wear compared with say, a Submariner? Here are some pics if you see what I mean. Pics borrowed from Bernard Watch.
So I have two Hamiltons and one is a Khaki Navy Sub quartz, which is my favorite beater watch. Anyhowthe other day I notice is running slow....way slow. So I reset it and watch it daily and it's losing 15 min per day.So me thinks it's the battery (I've had it about 2.5 years) so I go down to the shop and machine a tool to remove the case back...( I do all my battery changes, have for years without a problem) and I get the back off and very carefully remove the retainer ring and check the battery size. The watch is still running...realize I don't have that size, run down to the local Radio Shack and buy one ($5) and come back.Carefully I remove the old battery and replace the new one. And guess what? The watch won't run. Get online and try to see if there's a reset or something but to no avail. I even remove the crown and take out the whole movement...nothing.So now I test the batteries on my multimeter...both the old and new are right on at 1.5v....hmmmm...well lets try the old one
I purchased this watch in the mid 80's from a hunting magazine add. I think I paid about $30 for it. It was manufactured by Hamilton for Remington Arms. I replaced the battery and it is running like a top.
Hi all. I have been on the lookout for a moonphase watch for some time. I love the Longines Master Moonphase, but it is way out of my budget for the foreseeable future .I stumbled across this Tissot the other day and can't make up my mind about it. It has all the ingredients, but I'm not sure the end result is as good as the individual features if you know what I mean?I like the moonphase complication, but not sure I like the 'jolly' face of the moon. It has that kind of Jules Verne moon face (in my mind).I like the pointer day, but combination of circles on the dial looks a bit busy. Also the 'Tissot' logo seems disproportionately large for the rest of the dial.Well, it looks like I've talked myself out of it, doesn't it?Here are some pics - I welcome your comments and views. N.b. it's a quartz but that doesn't worry me at all (in fact would save a lot of hassle of setting the complications, and save a lot of $$).It comes with a leather or SS bracelet, and a black or white dial:
