Omega DeVille
HII'm new to this forum and watch collecting, so PLEASE bear with me! I just purchased an Omega DeVille dress watch in which the bracelet and watch body are all one piece. The entire watch is gold-toned, except for the back, which appears to be stainless. Inside the back case it states a 20 micron gold plating, but on the bracelet clasp there's a hallmark (lozenge with what appears to a tall "T" with a letter on either side. Just below this is a stamping which appears to read "55%". I carefully tested the bracelet and watch body in several places, and it tested 10k or higher. Could this be, or am I just not getting through the plating? Also any info. on this watch would be greatly appreciated!-Inside case is numbered 111.0139. Works have the number 42 over 050818 and the omega symbol. Also the number 625 and Omega Swiss 17 jewels unadjusted. I know pictures would help a great deal, but I haven't figured that part out yet! White Gold 3919-G hold value?
I understand no one has crystal ball, but how well do you think a White Gold with Hobnail Bezel and seconds hand Calatrava 3919-G will hold its value in future?They can still be had for slightly under $10k, since they are not produced anymore, will prices continue to rise or doubtful?I want one in future since I really really like it, but if prices are pretty sure to rise I may just pick up now as they are not produced anymore.Chuck
