TAG Heuer CAG2110 wrist watches news:
Guys I can get a Seiko SNZE79K1 for a very good price. I've search WUS, but cannot find any posting on the model of Seiko. It's described as SEIKO 5 SPORTS COMPASS 100M AUTOMATIC SNZE79K1 with 7S36 Caliber 23 Jewel automatic.Case size - 42mm excluding and 46mm including crown x 13mm.Bracelet maximum size - 210mm. Bracelet width - 22mm at lugs.I think this would look brilliant on a leather strap.Thoughts please...
The Croton Chronomaster, stainless steel, 200-meter / 660 feet water resistance, deployment clasp with safety latch, mineral crystal, uni-directional bezel, date window at 3 o'clock, three subdials - 60 seconds, 60 minutes, and 12 hours, 42 mm wide x 12 mm thick, bracelet dimensions: 20 mm wide, & OS10 Miyota movement.Packaged well:Nice patterned blue face & blue bezel, but weak lume:I like the watch itself & seems to be decent:But the bracelet is cheesy, feels cheep and does this weird 90 degree dropdown from the watch to where it meets the bracelet:Got it for just under $50.00 shipped, so no biggie one way or another.
Since I am fairly new at starting a collection I would like some advise from the experts on taking care of my watches - how often do you get serviced? Are you able to do anything yourselves? Any hints will help.Thank in advance for yor help since I not only want a nice collection I want to maintain it. pjh
Hey, Omega gang!Happy to say my watch arrived last Friday! Super busy week, as I was fortunate enough to also get my hands on a white Daytona C, as I posted in the last few days over at the Rolex section.Being a sucker for blue, I think this one is just gorgeous. Granted, it's not a faithful rendition of the original, but rather a piece inspired by the CK2998 from the past. Regardless, the result looks so nice that I really don't mind the mere throwback nature of this LE.My local AD was great and I got a nice swag package as well. The cherry on top, though, was that he gave me two tickets to watch the Olympic soccer quarter-finals between Germany and Portugal as an Omega guest. Now THAT WAS AWESOME didn't wear the CK, but had my SM300 on to honor the invite.Anyways, here are some pics of it all!
I have been a member of TRF for a couple of years, finding my way here as I researched my first purchase. I have been somewhat quiet, content in many ways to just listen and learn more about a subject that has fascinated me for many years. My apologies for the lost post and if this is a repeat of any earlier threads posted here, but one of the things that drives the passion I have for collecting is the connection that people seem to have to their collection. I have alluded to my background a bit in previous posts and a bit about what my watches mean to me. For every timepiece I have, from the G-Shock that my wife bought me two decades ago, to my most recent purchase, there is a connection. I suspect for all of you in this seemingly crazy pursuit of ours, your watches have a special meaning and each have a story. Share if yours if you like. Here is mine:I am the product of a home in which I had two parents who, after half of a century remain together. Both grew up on the east coast o
