This is what happens when you sit down to sort through your parts drawers to see if you have any 9800/982 movements with good balances. There turned out to be 6: 3 980's, 2 982's and a 982M. What to do? Spend the rest of the afternoon looking through the cases and dials and putting together a watch of course. I've had this Brandon case with swinging lugs for a couple of months. It's the only one I've seen on Ebay. I collected 3 regular Brandons to make one good fixed lug example. Why is it that people try to open these cases with an axe before going to a jeweler. Or maybe its the jewelers doing it. Anyway, I put in a 980 movement as it was the pick of my litter. I've seen Brandons with 980's and 982's. Which one did the swing lug model come with? Are these as relatively rare as they appear from the lack of listings? What is an estimate of its value? My nice fixed lug Brandon is going to my nephew as a wedding present. With a little more dial cleaning this one will join the rotation.Joe
Hi Fellow Forum members.I ordered a watch last October as my wife's Christmas + Birthday + Baby present, finally came yesterday. Since Christmas has past and her birthday isn't till beginning of May, I am not sure if I should give it to her now. The dealer was kind enough to gift wrap it nicely with a bow, so I haven't even opened to check the watch yet.My question is. Watch is meant to be worm. So should I just give it to her now so she can enjoy it OR wait till her birthday.Thank you in advance for your input.

Hello, I am in a situation where I can sell my Sub Date for a reasonable price (9200 AU) and purchase a hulk. What are your thoughts on the black vs. green sub? Would i regret selling the classic? If people who have owned both could chime in that would be great :)Kind regards, Steve.
