- So far, so good. A nice looking piece, conversation starter. For the price I paid, I am happy. Tell you what though, the retail value is high, wouldn't have paid that even if I had money to burn.

TW Steel CS1 wrist watches news:
At Baselworld 2010, Glash¨¹tte Original will present their rose gold Pocket Watch No. 1 with quarter hour repetition in a limited edition of 25 pieces. A historical watch by Julius Assmann, a famous pioneer of the Glash¨¹tte watchmaking industry, served as the model. The repeater first strikes the previous hours, and then in a higher tone, the number of quarter hours that have elapsed since the last full hour. The repeater is operated by means of a slide located at 6 o’clock. Moving the slide toward 9 o’clock winds the mainspring. At full wind, the striking mechanism is activated automatically. The progress of the striking mechanism is regulated by a centrifugal governor visible on the wheel train side. The beating of the two hammers is made audible by means of two gongs of different lengths which pass around the piece beneath the wheel train. The new hand-wound caliber 84-01 is designed so that at the moment of winding the crown, the balance wheel is halted and the eccentric
Just an FYI, i was at a local AD this weekend because I wanted to see the new explorer 2 in person.they only had the black dial, but without any question on price the saleslady told mke they are discounting most SS models (the new explorer included) 10%Thought that was a pretty good deal!
Its not too bad, but does amyone know who can do a better job than this one has currently I love this watch, it is one of my faves
Has anyone done this? I love my 5711. It's comfortable, stealth to all but WIS, and it just feels like a special watch. I've only run into 2 other nautiluses ever, in the wild. That said, I really like rose gold, and while yeah, it's the same watch, it'll feel different enough, and it's a different color, at the very least. Really, I'm just looking for enablers or smack in the head. I've also considered the 5980a, but I'm not really sold on the thickness or weight. I also have a 5164a and a lange 1815 chrono boutique in white gold, if you want to consider how a 5711r might or might not fit into my collection.
I am looking for a first Rolex for my son (who is hopefully graduating college) and narrowed it down either a SS Sub or a GMT. My AD is telling me that he has a No-Date Submariner that was originally sold in March of 2017 but never picked up from the store. The papers have been executed however. He is asking $6500.What does this fine community think?
