Late last year, our trusty producer, Will, and I had the joy of traveling to Germany to visit the folks from NOMOS Glash¨¹tte ¨C a brand that is no stranger to us at HODINKEE, or you, as readers of HODINKEE. NOMOS is a small independent watch brand of roughly 260 employees based in Berlin and Glash¨¹tte with a very simple goal ¨C to make (mostly) in-house, affordable, and well-designed wristwatches. No quartz, just good old-fashioned well-made movements that range in cost, for the majority of the collection, between $1,500 and $4,000 ¨C a noble goal if there ever was one. We know all this, but I wanted to know more, so that in detail, I could answer the questions "who or what is NOMOS?" and "how do they do what they do?". Date Just or TOG?
I am contemplating getting one of these two but can't decide a/ which one I REALLY prefer and b/ If the TOG can justify the huge price difference for nothing more than a WG bezel and a different (but not hugley so) styling.On the SS models DJ - 116200 vs the TOG 116264 the price difference (in the UK) is ?530 (DJ = rrp ?2,790 & TOG ?3,520)This seems an awful lot of difference for a small WG bezel! After all the styling cannot surely greatly affect the cost to produce can it?Am I missing something? Is there more to the TOG than that?Also will the TOG hold / lose value more or less than the DJ?Any pics of these models would be appreciated (DJ - SS - white or silver dial with stick markers and plain "domed" bezel) (TOG - SS model with WG bezel and black or slate grey dial)Thanks.

Interesting thing, the Serial number is #1I've reached out to GP to see if they can supply any info on the history of the watch (just thought it would be cool to know). Any estimates on the price of the 37.5mm blue PO to be released? I might have to get one to go along with my black PO. For those of you who have the 45mm version, does the lesser weight of the titanium feel weird? Thanks!
