Tag Heuer WAF1415.BA0824 wrist watches news:
This is my first post, and I really need advice on my watch. It's a Seamaster Professional 200M Quartz. This is the only thing I've ever bought in a duty-free. In 1990 it cost me the grand sum of $369. That was a lot for a starving college student.Over the years I've had the battery changed, but never took it in for a real servicing. It's a shame because this is such a comfortable watch. I also like that you don't see so many of them out there. It's rare for me to run into anyone wearing the same watch. Can I save my Seamaster? The bezel is faded. It needs new hands. The face is dirty and no longer glows. The crown probably needs a new seal. The bracelet needs to be buffed.Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!
I'm looking for a new watch. I have the Casio G9000MS-1, G7710-1, or the G2900-1 in mind. I've never had a Casio G-Shock before but I've heard great things about them. I'm mainly looking at it because it's a nice tactical watch and at $100 it won't break the bank. What do you guys think of it? By the way. Why is the accuracy of these watches +/- 15 seconds. I know they're not the most expensive watches but you should expect nothing but 0 from a digital????Technical Specs Shock Resistant Mud Resistant Auto Dual EL Backlights with Afterglow Low Temperature Resistant (-20 C/-4 F) World Time 29 time zones (48 cities), city code display, daylight saving on/off 1/100 second stopwatch (ST1) Measuring capacity: 999:59'59.99" Measuring modes: Elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times Other: Auto-Start 1/100 second stopwatch (ST2) Measuring capacity: 999:59'59.99" Measuring modes: Elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times Countdown timer Measuring unit: 1 second Countdown start time set
Okay, it seems this thread has gotten plenty of replies:Would anyone be interested....Time to start ironing out the details. We already know that 1) The watch must be on a strap, and 2) it should be between 38 and 43 mm.For item #3: Mechanical (auto or manual) or Quartz? We'll set these parameters by voting one question at a time. Of course the original thread will stay open so existing members can add their name in the hat. The cut-off date for the list of participants will be the last thing we make after all the rules are set.
My dad is going through a lot of medical problems and want's to buy me a watch that i can use and maybe pass on one day. So i don't know a lot about watches but have been doing quite a bit of research in the last few days. But i am at the point where more direct help would be appreciated. The budget is around $300 but can go up to $400 if there is a real reason too. It would be used as a casual watch 95% of the time but i want something that wouldn't look completely out of place in a nicer environment. Also i prefer a metal band to a leather, and like simpler looks over complicated watches with a ton of functions. As far as movements i'm not sure which way i want to go and unless a certain movement makes a watch last longer i don't think it will play a big part of my decision. Here are a few i have found that i like:Tissot Stylis-TCitizen Stiletto I like this watch but it might not be best for everyday useTissot LeLocle out of my budget but something i like the look ofAny help you can
