Tag Heuer WAE1111.FT6004 wrist watches news:
The #7 most popular and sought after wristwatch by Illinois collectors! Here is my 1929 Illinois 2 Tone Consul***Now let me start off by saying that Rick (Hamiltonillinois) has possessed, bought, sold, and bartered the finest examples ever made of this watch, so I know he will chime in soon with anything I forgot***In my opinion, this is the "creme de la creme" of the Illinois brand and it has been called "The finest watch ever made in America!" This is perhaps the only known example of the 2 tone with pinstripe dialto have survived"Stamped 14k inside" a custom order watch. It is one of the few solid gold models that Illinois made and they are really an incredible watch! It came in many different configurations:Engraved and plain BezelWhite gold, Yellow gold, 2 toneSides:Plain dialStarburst dialCustom dialBack:Subs at 9 and 6 Price when New: $75-137.40FF: Rarity rating 2/6 to 6/6$900 - $4500 poor to mint condition (depending on model variation)Custom dials add, $300-$45037X39mmNow it also
Hi,Was hoping that someone could help me with what type of dial is on this Hamilton pocket watch.I know it is a five minute watch. But I have never seen one without numbers or numerical at all, just marks with the five minute above it.Any help would be grateful. Thanks
Tonight I am wearing my Planet Ocean.I was looking at my collection and spotted this and decided to wear it on the other wrist to give it some much needed attention. The Fendi is really a handsome timepiece with an ETA 2824 and a screw down crown (though only rated for a 50m W/R)In comparing the look of these two watches I began to think about what a watch is or should be.Should a watch compliment the wrist, dominate the wrist, or just be an instrument for telling time in a way that is asthetically pleasing to the wearer? The Fendi is only(?) 36 mm in diameter and that is plenty big to see and tell the time (it worked for wrists of all sizes for many years with no complaints)The Planet Ocean is ,at 45 mm, much larger and is a wrist "dominator" but seems to make sense since it is a "dive" style watch and a diver needs to have a mega readable watch. The only watches I see as really having a purpose for being BIG are divers and pilot watches. At what point do watches become attention grabbers?
Does anyone know if all Pateks make a buzzing sound when you move your wrist? I heard it is the rotor in the watch but I'm not sure. I have owned multiple rolexs and haven't heard anything. My buddy has 5327 and tells me he can hear a buzzing when twisting his wrist.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What would your pick be?Though I love the Nautilus, it is way too pricey for me.I am looking to make up my mind for the next purchase and still undecided.I know one down side about the AP is that is is very non durable(scratches very easily), which will sort of put me off from wearing it as a daily watch for any and every occasion. Is this the same case with the Aquanaut?I do have small wrists at 6.25. How would you say the Aquanaut would wear?I have yet to find it in stock at my AD to try it on.Of these two, which would be your pick?
