Technomarine 115120 wrist watches news:
This was a big year for men’s watches at Cartier. You may have read about the new Cartier Drive and the other pre-SIHH releases that we covered in December of last year, but one that you may not have heard about yet is this Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux. 1 OF 3 This watch is a fantastic example of the technical skills that Cartier possesses and doesn't show off enough. Cartier is known for their vintage (and modern) mystery clocks – Louis Cartier and Maurice Couet mastered the mystery clock mechanism in 1912, taking inspiration from the famous illusionist Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin. This year, Cartier decided to modify and apply this technology to the Rotonde de Cartier in their brand new Astromystérieux. 2 OF 3 This watch is different from any watch I have seen in recent years. It is not just a mystery watch, but rather a mystery movement. Instead of just the hands being attached to the two moving crystals, t
This past weekend an acquaintance, a retired barber and rancher, offered to sell me what purports to be a Patek Philippe for $4K. It's mounted in a wall display case with other watches and some odd jewelry so I didn't get a close look at it, particularly since I wasn't that interested. After doing some reading on the web, I think it must be a fake although the guy said he took it as payment for a herd of cattle about twenty years ago. It's apparently stainless steel or maybe white gold or platinum. The dial is a pale yellow, cream or gold. There's a large moon phase display in the top half. It just has markers, not numbers, around the dial. Does this sound like a common PP design? This isn't much of a description I know. I couldn't find anything on the web that looks like it. I could get some pictures in a few days. The price alone is suspicious but this guy is very honest with a good reputation in a small rural village. I suppose there's a remote possibility it's genuine. I live about 1
Zodiac Goldenline Chronometre info neededHi Everyone, this is my first post. I recently acquired this Zodiac watch from a thirft store. The Dial reads " Zodiac Chronometre Goldenline automatic". It keeps excellant time, but will only run about six hours overnight after I've worn it all day. I'm taking it to a local jeweler next week to be serviced & a new crystal. My questions are:1. What movement is it using? Its a screw back, but I couldn't get it off.2. About when was it made. And any other info and history would be great, Thanks in advance!zodiac-1.jpgzodiac-2.jpg
While perusing the web for articles and such on watches I came across an October 2007 review of nine dive watches by Watch Time magazine where they tested dive watches by Breitling, Certina, Doxa, Fortis, Mido, Oris, Sinn, Tag Heuer and Uts.A few of the watches were affected by extreme water pressure but the biggest surprise to me was that the Breitling crystal shattered under extreme pressure. Here's the PDF of the article if interested in reading the entire articleLicensed To Dive Watch Review
I have seen on the Rolex website the submariner 114060 advertised for ?5,250 yet the same 2018 model for sale on eBay for ?5,500+ Up to ?6,000 hope this doesn’t sound like a silly question but do dealers actually sell them for ?5,250 or will they be more expensive in store.
