Technomarine DTMYCB02C wrist watches news:
Since its establishment in 2002, the Swiss independent?De Bethune?has aspired to set itself?apart from the rest by masterfully balancing on the verge of traditional watchmaking and innovative design and engineering. That is something beautifully proven by their DB25LT Tourbillon or the DB28 Digitale?and so it is of little surprise that their latest model which they just announced at Baselworld 2014 is another bridge between the two controversial sides of watchmaking: traditional design elements and high-tech features. The DB29 Maxichrono Tourbillon combines both, but how it achieves that becomes obvious only after a closer look under its hood¨C or dial, rather. Its name gives no room for misunderstandings: the DB29 Maxichrono Tourbillon packs an in-house chronograph movement and couples it with one of the most high-tech tourbillons that we have seen in a while. The caliber inside¨Ctitled DB2039¨Cis the result of seven years of research and development, which is, make no mistake, an extreme
Contributed by D¨¢vid Bred¨¢nTourbillons have come a long way during the past 200+ years of their existence. That time has proven sufficient to provide major ups and downs ¨C and more than one full life cycle for this fairy invention.Beyond those everyday complications which we take for granted, such as the date and the chronograph, I believe it is the tourbillon that remains for the beginner watch lover to get acquainted with. This statement should hold true even more so if considering the latter years of the new millennium, when it has become extremely difficult to find a brand which wouldn¡¯t want to take the (continuously waning) advantage of the tourbillon in terms of distinguishing power. Before discussing causes briefly, let¡¯s quote Jerome Lambert, chief executive of Jaeger-LeCoultre: "A tourbillon is a must; if you're a watchmaker now, you have to be able to master one complication and it has to be the tourbillon, because it is very visible". In his words to the New York Times he al
All Guards are marked on the back, "Water Guard," "Shock Guard" (those are easy), then "Synchro Guard" and "Life Guard." I'm not exactly sure what the last two refer to, especially Life Guardit may be obvious, but I couldn't find any references to those here. I thought the synchro could refer to something relating to isochronism...? Does anyone know?I'll take some photos of my watches over the weekend, too, if I can.David
I looked at a Tissot for $600 list on a cruise ship, and hoped to find a better deal on ebay or other parts of the net....all I find on ebay is from Hong Kong,,,or high end models from US...are ANY of the Hong Kong shipped ones real??? I don't see complaints on feedback, and they come with realistic looking box, papers, etc...Help Please????
Hi everyone, I've been looking at getting an AP. I'm kind of torn between the 1.AP ROO (not the new ones with the exhibition back)2. and the AP ROC. I'm looking at definitely looking for a timeless watch, which will be relatively easy keep. I flip alot of watches, my Breitlings/IWC/Hamiltons etc but with this sort of money, i'm looking at a watch to keep for a long time. Some points i'm considering are:1. Whether the ROO will eventually be too 'large' for modern standards in say another 10-20 years (I know this is hard to gauge, and is more often than not subjective)2. How well the rubber parts on the crowns and pushers for the ROO would last (some say they go after a couple of years and are an expensive option to replace)3. Piggybacked movement for the AP ROO (although it is still an inhouse movement)4. Non-inhouse movement for the AP ROC (although I understand it is a highly regarded F Piguet movement)5. Size of the two watches, I have a PAM and I feel an AP ROO wears smaller. 6. I h
