When RSC overhauls a watch, they polish the entire bracelet and watch case, resulting in a thinner case, each time this process is done. I was told by someone at RSC that after approximately five overhauls, six if it is stainless and not gold, the case becomes soo thin from polishing, that the pressure proof integrity is compromised and RSC will not warranty the watch as pressure proof. If this is true, and someone was looking to purchase a pre-owned watch, they might want to consider this, if they were going to use it in a wet environment. I guess if they didn't swim or dive with the watch, it wouldn't make a difference. I was told this by someone who answered the phone at RSC. She also said, after the watch has been overhauled this many times, they recommend replacing the watch with a new one. Do you think they are just trying to sell? I mean, after five overhauls, one every five years, the watch is twenty five years old, I guess it should be replace after that anyway, huh?
Hello guys..I know I might sound silly with these post. I have 6 watches and just one of them which have a brown strap fits with brown shoes/belt. The best combination are those watches in bracelet and in white dial. I wear a suit most of the times. Could you please post some of your favorite watches with go with brown belt/shoes in business attire?Blessings...
After much thought (and input from this board) I kept both the ALS 1815 Chrono and the Patek 5205r. Traded a couple other pieces (JLC Deepsea Chrono and IWC Chrono Classic) and a lot more cash for this 2006 edition in great condition. Thanks to Steve at Tarrytown Jewelers for making it happen. I think I'm done... for a while. Happy fourth to all.
