Tissot T0994073603700 wrist watches news:
Well, after about a month of searching high and low for a reputable watchmaker, I sent my SMP to get serviced. Since I don't want to break any kind of rules regarding posting names, I won't say who is doing the work unless someone chimes in here and says it's ok. I will say it's not Omega. If I get the OK, I will post the name and turn this thread into a review when I get the watch returned. It's going to be a long 4-5 weeks, but I'm excited to see the results!
So my amazing fiance decided that she wanted to get me an early wedding gift, or late engagement gift, I don't really know and don't really care! All I know is that she did GREAT!! (or I did great? )
HelloI would like to hear some different views on the above please.I'm interested in buying a Speedmaster Professional Moon watch. I know they come in two different versions, one with a Hesalite crystal and one with a Sapphire crystal. I'm told that the Hesalite is easier to scratch, but in the real world, how much is it easier to scratch?I have an older meteorite dial version of the watch and I find it very comfortable and accurate. My wife has a Silver Snoopy version and loves that as well. I think they both have Sapphire crystals. Can I just have some of your views about the two different versions please? Is one recommended over the other etc? Also, what sort of discount could I aim for in the UK?Thanks very much.

I was trying to decide whether to get a Sub or Sub Date and have seen SO many debates on here I thought I¡¯d share my thoughts (for right or wrong. And I know, it¡¯s already been done to death..*yawn*)As far as I can tell it all comes down to these two things:Do you want a date function or not?And do you prefer an older model or new? That¡¯s it. There¡¯s no other arguments to be had and here are a few things that lead me to this conclusion.Firstly, the issue of the date function making it not a ¡®classic¡¯ Rolex. From what I¡¯ve been able to read the date was introduced in 1969 on the 1680 meaning the Sub has had the date for 49 years (only 16 years less than the Sub has been around.)How many years does a feature have to be around before it¡¯s accepted as a classic?Secondly, the dial is more balanced/symmetrical without the date.True but again isn¡¯t this a matter of preference? It¡¯s a design change to add functionality, not just popped in there to mess up the balance. The date window doesn¡¯t make
