Kept it for five years before selling it at Sotheby's.Was able to afford the HUGE (for the day) 38 mm Pasha after saving some money in the early 90's.ABTW:. Genejockey: Have you seen this Elgin on eBay?
It says Elgin 27 jewels on the front and I'm thinking it must be a 761 movement.Instead, there is a 27 jewel 795 Swiss auto movement in it.Have you ever seen anything like this?Vintage 1950s Mens Elgin Wrist Watch

My second Omega .... Blown away!
Words cannot describe the beauty of this watch. I'm still pinching myself and picking up my jaw from the floor everytime I look at it.I am still stoked and have the major butterflies after picking this up. I didn't imagine I would actually go through with it but I did. Walked into the local AD and after I saw it...BAM...It was love at first sight and then said to myself...Dam, shouldn't have come in here LOL.Did I mention I'm still picking up my jaw from the floor.....Enjoy the eye candy cause there is ALOT of it below :)

Curved end straps on small wrists
I have bought a genuine rubber (that looks like leather) with the curved ends that hug the case, to replace the worn orange croc strap on my PO. Trouble is that because my wrist is small I end up with a really unsightly gap when the strap is pulled away from the case due to my small wrist. I then tried both on my Seamaster GMT with the same result. If my wrist was 1/2 inch bigger there would be no problem.I then bought an after market rubber one, this does the same, its a real shame because they look great on straps.Is this a common problem? I have now bought a strap with straight ends as the original one was.I should have taken fotos of it!
