Tissot T0502173611200 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone, as of tomorrow (Febraury 1st) all models increase in price by 10%. This is the 1st price increase i have experienced as part of an AD as oppose to a potential customer. I'm really interested to see how the increase is perceived by everyone. Your thoughts as always most welcome and greatly appreciated!
I was in a minor statistical mood and put together a little summary of Omega's releases by case size over the past five years. The table below shows the numbers released in each of the four main styles and is expressed in terms of case sizes. The chart is E&OE and excludes Olympic limited editions and items from the Museum Collection. It is not intended to be an exhaustive study.
Hey guys!I just bought this old transition Waltham on ebay that has definitely seen better days. The movement and dial look worthless but what caught my eye was the BIG size 0s case. The case is probably from the early to mid 1920's.It's an Illinois Watch Case Company "ARROW".Can say that I have ever seen one stamped with the "Arrow" name before, or maybe I'm just drawing a blank. The name "ARROW" is not listed in on the NAWCC IWCC info sheet.Just wondering if anybody happens to know the case material. It looks like it might be yellow gold filled of some sort.I know that this case looks like hell but give me about an hour (maybe two) with it!I'll have it looking brand new!I've been saving a nice size 0s 17 jewel movement for such an occasion. Thanks!
I am looking to buy my father-in-law a watch as a gift. Back in the 70's he had a Seiko Diver (he thinks it was a Seiko) that was stolen from him while at work, and he has mentioned this watch several times. I thought it would be a cool gift to get him another watch like it. He's not a WIS. I thought about getting him a Seiko Auto Diver, but I think he might be better suited for a Eco-Drive. No moving parts to worry about, no battery to worry about either. He is pretty rough on watches (as well as just about everything else). His current watch is a Department Store Iron Man or Armitron, digital quartz.Budget is around $150-200. I think he might like an analog watch, but if it was duel Analog/Digital, might be the best of both worlds. There are so many watches out there, it's overload! Any suggestions?
Chaps, as an owner of both brands and bracelets with the onset of warmer weather, I'm curious what your thoughts are on both. Do you favor one over the other ? If so, why ? Does the finishing on a Patek bracelet outweigh the Oyster for you ? Thanks for the candid responses !
