Tissot T048.417.27.202.00 wrist watches news:
Been struck with the vintage Hamilton designs. Looking into getting the chrono version of the watch in SS bracelet. My question is whether the SS bracelet version has regular lugs as I want to swap it out with a leather band. Also if anyone has any info about the Hamilton Everest or pictures it would be much appreciated. Hi guys, I want to buy my first Hamilton watch and right now I'm in the process of browsing the models and comparing their different features. I have chosen a few models, among them are the Khaki King Auto and the Khaki Field Auto, both in SS bracelets and black dial. 40mm both of them as well. I'd tend to buy the King Auto because of the Day and Date feature, (the Field has only a date window) and the crownguards (the Field doesn't have). But on the other hand, the Khaki King is only 50 mts WR...while the Field is 100 mts WR. Now, here goes my question:Is there a big difference between these two WR specs? I mean, I'm almost sure that none of these watches have a screwdown crown, therefore I don't plan to go diving or snorqueling with the one I'll buy. But is there any activity that I won't be able to do with a 50 mts WR watch that I will with a 100 mts WR one? For instance: swimming in the pool, washing the dishes, etc. Thanks for your help.
I currently have a Hamilton Chrono with a 7750 in it. I hadn't worn this watch in a week or so and made the mistake of setting the date while the time was between 9 pm and 3 am. (I was always vigilant about not doing this, except this one time)The date got stuck and left it alone. I pushed the stem in and wound the watch and it has worked perfectly except that now the date and day are on alternating schedules every 12 hours. It will flip the date at noon and the day at midnight. I took it to a local watchmaker and he indicated that the date wheel was broken and that it needed a complete servicing. He told me the date would not flip at all. (It had been for me though) I was quoted $400 for the whole thing. He said parts are expensive for that movement. I guess I would like to know two things:Does that sound like a reasonable price for the work?and does the diagnoses of a broken date wheel sound correct. I have never taken a watch to this particular shop, but wanted to try them out. Any
anyone has the new safari in rubber?really hope to see some picsthx
Thanks everyone who voted in my museum trip poll. Today is the road trip to Geneva. I'll be posting live updates, but probably no pictures from inside the Patek Museum as photography is not allowed.Yesterday I confirmed via email that they are open and time of the tour. I also fueled up this beauty. Originally I planed to used DB trains, but when I got this rental I decided to change to driving.
