It's been a few months since we've had an arrival thread, and Christmas season seems like a good time to revive it. Let's see'm guys & gals! Whether hunted and scored yourself or received as a gift, post your new arrivals here!
I did a search and it seems like the Swiss Jacques Lemans watches are held in pretty high regard here, but I can't find much about their "low end" Japanese quartz watches.I really like the look of the 1355C from the Classic/Mogana series and the price almost seems too good to be true. Am I headed for trouble if I buy one of these? They have an MSRP of almost $700 but you can get them just about anywhere for less than a C-noteThat isn't exactly inspiring confidence.EDIT: Not really sure where Amazon is getting the $695 MSRP on itJL's site says 199 Euros which is about US$300.
Hi! New to the forum, although I've been enjoying the photos and reviews here since I was bitten by the watch bug. I hope this is the right place to post something like this.I've always liked watches, but the real interest started in 2007 when I happened across this gorgeous watch in a Beverly Hills jewelry store. I snapped a quick photo and then did my best to continue getting my wife out of there without putting us in the poorhouse, so I didn't buy it, but I have never been able to get that watch out of my head. Sadly, I later found out the store closed up shop, so no chance on getting it, or more info, from there. Can anyone ID the make of this watch? I'd love to comb the net further, trying to find another one to actually purchase this time. (Still kicking myself for not buying it the first time!) But searches for 'm. d'alessandro milano' aren't coming up with anything other than football (soccer) links from Europe, and I can't tell the make since the hands are blocking the up
