Speedmaster Bracelet 1563/850 links?
This is my first post here on the Omega forum, but I've been around on the Rolex forum for awhile, now. I recently came into a Speedmaster Date with the 18mm 1563/850 bracelet, and am in need of adding at least one but probably two links to allow it to fit my wrist properly. The previous owner had really small wrists, and didn't have the links that were taken out. I've had it on a strap for a few weeks so that I can wear it, but would really like to have the bracelet option available, since I have it (although the strap is growing on me, maybe adding a deployant...). This is my 1st Omega. Now, I'm hooked, and I look at the Professionals whenever I can and dream of when I can add one of those to the collection. My main question is: Where can I find replacement links to fit the bracelet? Any information will be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for your help. Here's the new (to me) addition:

Hi allNew to the forum, but have "browsed" the forums in the past and picked up many tips and information.Why the name Smurf?? Well, its the only name that I could think of after half a bottle of Polish Vodka. I dont usually drink, but seeing as England did not perform as expected in the World Cup, then what the hell So in my "merry" mood, I decided to trawl a certain auction site and decided to bid on a watch that was ending soon. Bought in single figures I thought hey, at least it runs ( so it says in the ad).Heres my question.What is it ?Amongst the description it says "back has a diver on it and reads antimagnetic,stainless steel back,845". Now im not a lucky person, so I am not expecting a rare find, but upon closer examination of the picture I saw a 5 pointed crown below the 12 oclock and swiss made at 6 oclock . Until I get the watch, im in the dark, but just wondered if the logo on the dial was something anyone has seen before.ThanksAndy

My journey to Globemaster
Looking back, I guess it began with this Connie I owned from 1963:That pie-pan dial was forever etched on my heart.Last year I was searching for a dress watch and after trying to love two 8500 ATs, I was looking for something a bit thinner with a classic look. The introduction of the Globemaster looked like a possibility. A test drive of the SS model at the OB proved disappointing however. The blue dial was nice but from experience, I knew I would tire of it. Plus, I had never cared for the AT bracelet so the GM bracelet sealed my decision to go with the strap. (My GM was not intended for casual wear anyway and I prefer straps for dress.) Admittedly the fluted bezel was a surprise but I was disappointed in the tungsten carbide. There was no pop, just blah. So I put the Globemaster on the back burner to simmer. Earlier this year when the GM was no longer exclusive to the boutiques, I revisted the Omega website and took a look at all the models. The all gold and platinum models were off

Hi all, know it¡¯s a long shot but looking to get a 5980 and wondered if anyone knew of an AD with a one?

Decided to brush the PCL's on BLNR (pics inside)
And couldn't be happier with the results. Opinions are divided on PCL's, but I'm much more of a fan of the brushed look. It cost just $50 from a professional, so well worth the money to me. It would certainly lower the resale value, but I don't plan on ever parting with this one.Just thought I'd post a few pictures if anyone is considering doing the same thing.
