Hublot has introduced a new limited-edition watch for high-stakes poker players, the Hublot Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour. The watch adapts the Big Bang case with accents on the bezel for card players. Inside, it has Hublot’s manufacture column-wheel chronograph movement.? The Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour is 45.5 mm in diameter. It comes in two versions: one in stainless steel (shown here) and one in Hublot’s special 18-karat gold alloy with a higher-than-normal platinum content, known as “King Gold” (see below). Some sections of the case are polished while others are microblasted. This combination of finishes allows for the special design of the bezel. A spade, club, heart and diamond ornament its cardinal points.Through the skeletonized dial, one can see the inner workings of the Unico caliber. A four-hertz automatic flyback chronograph, the HUB 1242 Unico movement has a column wheel and double clutch that can be seen through the dial. It has a 72-hour po
While sport lovers felt it was interesting and perhaps a bit strange for tennis champion Rafael Nadal to wear a half million dollar plus watch while competing, it was all about an assertion of brand values for Richard Mille. Be it tennis, golf, automotive racing, flight, or diving, Richard Mille has proven that its timepieces not only have a place, but the durability and character required to be part of some of the world's most demanding activities. The Rafael Nadal watch for example wasn't just about a luxurious object placed on the wrist of a famous athlete, it was a luxurious object that could keep up with his game. The success of the Nadal watch prompted Richard Mille to investigate deeper, pouring money into research in an attempt to find a watch that not only would survive the rigors of one's active life, but also help to improve it. The next step was the release of the limited edition RM036 G-Sensor watch that included a mechanical g-force meter. The idea was for drivers and pilo
1) Need help with removing the movement on the Watson. I popped the back off but the movement seems very tight in the case back - what is the proper way of taking it out of the back? Did not want to pull on the dial.2) The inside of the crystal was dirty so I gently cleaned it with a micro-cloth for eye glasses - I must have pushed in it too hard because the crystal popped out. I was able to re-install by pressing it into the case from the front. Is it just held in by the case frame alone or by any adhesive / glue? Seemed to have come out rather easily.Any help appreciated - cheers pjh
Thanks to an E-Bay gift certificate that my kids gave me for Christmas I just received a Casio wave ceptor WVQ400J-1. Some of the features are:- Solar powered and atomic timekeeping.- 43mm case and resin strap- WR 330 feet- Stopwatch, dual time, daily alarm and tachymeter- lume on the hands and minute markers plus LED light to illumination the face. Auto light function available. The listing on the watch said that it had a black face but there is a noticeable brown hue. I like the look of the face with the digital feature limited to a small window at the 4:00 position. My first impression of the strap was that it was flimsy as it is narrow (18mm) and not very thick. However it is comfortable on the wrist.
Hi guys, just a bit of fun. I was discussing watches with two of my friends today, one of which owns a BLNR and one of which owns a Hulk. I own a SD43. We are all finance guys so we were pondering over which of these three watches would retain its value best in the future or even which one is likely to appreciate the most.I know you guys don¡¯t like to think as Rolex¡¯s from an investment standpoint but would be interesting to see other people¡¯s views/perceptions on which one may be the most coveted in the coming years/decades?Thanks
