Tudor 79280 wrist watches news:
My wife's been playing with the camera again.
Sorry it's taken so long for me to post this. But I want to get it right. First I would like to thank Pat Dunn (weldunn007) for co-hosting the GTG and everyone that made it a fun time. A few were here from Seattle and overseas also. And for some it was their first time at a GTG. So I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. I have quite a few pictures and 2 short videos. Lastly, I apologize if I forget to mention whose watch is who's. The restaurant where the GTG was is called McCormick and Schmick's. The food was excellent! I had the catfish. The party started at 1pm EST but Pat and I decided to arrive about an hour early to set things up. An AD in Rhode Island donated many catalogs, shirts, hats, polishing cloths and a Breitling pen. All of this weighed a ton so I helped Pat transport it to the dining area. The restaurant staff were already arranging the table for us and their service was excellent. A few minutes past 1pm the guests started to arrive and then the watches were unleashed! Fi
Anyone enlighten me on the technical difference between a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chrono and the AP Royal Oak Chrono. The latter was first produced in 73 and the former is 93. Other than being waterproof upto 100 metres. What else is there? What is the more collectable?Thanks.AJF.
For the sake of the forum I tried to figure out why so many of you are having issues installing your PO rubber strap.O.K here is what I came up with. I tried installing the rubber strap with a new set of spring bars. It was a bear!!!! I see what some of you are having problems with. First of all you need the correct spring bars in the diameter 1.78mm. This is a double shoulder spring bar in size 22mm for the 45.5mm Planet ocean. You can use a single shoulder spring bar as long as you have a good spring bar tool with a small sharp forked end. Omega has both in the correct size.. (See pic below) I want you to first test fit your spring bars without the strap. Try it and see how easy they fit in the holes of the lugs. The PO has very small holes drilled into the lugs. Some after market spring bars have a larger nipple end and it may not slip easily into the holes of the lugs. Either buy other spring bars or file the end diameter of the ends (just the very ends)of each spring bars. Once yo
So I want to celebrate my 1000th post with a very special incoming. IĄŻve waited to get this watch for almost a year. Last year I planned on getting it when abroad on holiday and while looking around I stumbled into a Rolex AD, as you do, and came out with the BLNR...on my birthday no less, even though other Rolex Boutiques earlier were saying they donĄŻt have any, so I couldnĄŻt pass on the opportunity as it felt right. Anyway! So then comes January and I end up with an AP RO, and the Panerai gets left behind again but still very much on my mind. So many months later, IĄŻm focused on trying to make it happen with the purchase of the Panerai. I was going abroad again and thought IĄŻll see if I can source something while there. I got in touch with one of my contacts and surely enough he had exactly what I wanted and offered it at an amazing price. So I sorted out payment and I was now the proud owner of a Panerai 422 and back in the Panerai family. The 422 is perfect in so many ways for me. I
