Tudor 7944 wrist watches news:
I really believe in what independent brands like Max Büsser and Friends (MB&F) are doing, and even more so, what they mean to the industry. Independent watchmaking is practically an entirely different world from those large group-owned brands, and I have long admired what many of them have been able to do, really, against all odds. And that is why today, I am proud to announce that we have partnered with MB&F to create a very special watch, just the way we think you, HODINKEE readers, would like it – 40 mm, with an insanely fine finished in-house movement, limited to 10 pieces, with three straps designed by us. Oh, and for the first time in MB&F's history, this LM101 will be cased in, you guessed it, stainless steel. What Is The LM101? 1 OF 33 The MB&F Legacy Machine 101 Limited Edition For HODINKEE ¨C 10 pieces in stainless steel. The Legacy Machine 101 was introduced in May of 2014 to critical and consumer acclaim. It was not on
iwc 1.jpgiwc3.jpgiwc2.jpgCan anybody enlighten me about this IWC cal.89, SS ?...I would like to buy it, but I didn`t find on the net a model with this kind of dial and those linear "hands", but only with those "spear" shaped hands. Also the crown is not marked, but I understand that it was common for the IWC`s of the perioud. Is it a "franken" or this combination existed? ...the owner told me that is a model made for the U.S. and hence the aspect of the arms. I think it looks in great shape, don`t you? The deal is a trade between my Breitling Shark automatic in mint state and the IWC...is it worth? I1`m really waiting for your oppinions, since I`m a newby in IWC`s. Patek really knows how to make beautiful dials. Always dynamic and mesmerizing.
I am sending my Datejust 41 to Dallas this week. It is under warranty as it is only 3 months old. Does anyone have any experience with a new watch getting slower and slower? At first I thought it just needed to be regulated. Now, it has gone from -2 seconds per day to -8 seconds per day. Just curious if anyone on here knows about the inner workings of the movement. It seems like something is more wrong than just needing a screw turned to regulate.Of course, I will hear the answer from Dallas in a couple weeks, but some people on here seem to have a pretty good understanding of these things so I thought I would throw this out there. Thanks.
I don't really need the day portion of the day date (i don't love the look and find it unnecessary), but would love an all gold datejust, as it just looks cleaner to me. The cost being lower would be an additional benefit. So my Basel wish is to have something like the watch below, in 40mm. Why hasn't this been carried forward?(watch pictured is not mine!)
