Hey all, Recently I've seen a few of the exotic dial Mark II's around the internet, and I must say, the more I see one, the more I like it. Although there are some fairly good deals on the market, I have some reservations about spending that much on a watch so old. What are your guys' opinions? Luther

ID help requested - Hamilton Orson?
Okay, so I was going to take my time, read all I could find, cross-check valuations, and maybe wait until I'm out of grad school and can actually afford to indulge in such thingsand then I saw this:Hamilton_1.jpgHamilton_2.jpgI'm pretty sure this is an Orson from 1959-1960. It's 10k gold filled with the Swiss-made 17j 673 movement (no serial number). The line drawings in the catalogs don't show any texture on the Orson dial, so I'm not 100% sure, but the other details match. Can anyone confirm?It needs a replacement crown & crystal replaced plus servicing, but the dial is in beautiful aged condition and I just fell in love with the texture. Unfortunately, so did my husband - who is normally apathetic about watches - so I think it's going to become his!

Does anyone have a US suggested retail price list covering 1998 or late 90's? If anyone else purchased a new day-date Presidential with a fluted bezel during that time period and knows what they paid, that would be helpful as well. I'm trying to confirm an approximate list price for my Presidential 18K day-date, fluted bezel at the time it was initially sold to me. Thanks in advance for any info.
