U-Boat 6249 wrist watches news:
This is Rolex Geneve Cellini 12 jewels. A friend of mine owns it.Today an amateur watch dealer told him that the movement is not genuine...that is Chinese, in fact.He got very angry and disappointing cause he want to buy this watch from the owner for about 1400 $.Let`s help him in this, my fellow friends. It looks genuine to me, but I`m far away from a Rolex expert. Here are the pics of the dial and the movement.Thank you.
Hello everybody! My 1st post here.I was wondering whether anyone has experience with ADs in NYC? (primarily Manhattan). Hamilton website produces a long list, but it would be cool to hear some personal impressions. I have never been to an authorized watch dealer before, tbh I bought my first watch online directly from the manufacturer. Would they have a full (or almost full) range of models to look at? Do they strictly sell at MSRP or are discounts available? Any specific questions I should ask them? I am looking at a 40mm Jazzmaster Viewmatic Auto, btw the MSRP is $625-675 depending on whether it is on a strap/bracelet, and discounts of around $200 are available from online dealers. How much over online price is considered "normal" for the convenience/manufacturer warranty? I'd like to handle the watch in person before buying, and I understand that running an actual store means they won't sell as cheap as online. On the other hand, I don't want to pay full MSRP if could j
Hey all.I'm looking for an inexpensive watch for daily wear. $100 or less is my ideal price range.I love the look of the Hamilton Viewmatic, but I'm not ready to spend $700 on a watch yet:Hamilton Watch ¡¤ ViewmaticBrown leather band, clean, simple silver face without a bunch of extra stuff on it. I like the 6,9,12 numbering with the dashes in between, with the simple date window.Considering all that, any recommendations for a cheaper, similarly styled watch? [non-sponsor links removed]These Skagens are the closest I can find to the kind of styling I'm looking for, although a 40mm case diameter seems ideal for my wrist. Suggestions?
First off hi, I'm new to this forum and the whole watch scene.I am thinking of purchasing this watch. I found it in the estates section at Radcliffes jewelers for $2500 absolutely immaculate condition with the original papers and comes with a warranty. It comes with the bracelet, not band and a white face. The only other watch I own is a Seiko so this will be my first BIG watch purchase. Is this a good price for this watch? Would you pull the trigger on the deal? If not what other watches would you consider for the $2k price range?
The re-introduction of Lemania based movement watches, the grail for many, didn't sit well with many collectors including myself. What's your take on the move from Patek?Ref. 3970Ref. 5070Ref. 5970Ref. 5971Ref. 3940Thank god the Ref. 5004 wasn't touched :)
