Is anyone else seeing large AD stocks?
Over at my favorite AD yesterday and I was really surprised at the level of inventory they had in stock. For example they had pretty much all sports models (except the SS Daytona of course) in stock & on display, including:GMT II - PepsiGMT II - CokeGMT IIC - Stainless steelMilguass - white faceMilguass - black faceSea-DwellerSub DateSub no-dateSub LVAnd that's in addition to the more common models to have such as the Air Kings, Explorers, Yacht-Masters, Oyster Perpetuals, Date-Justs, etc.And it's not just one AD. I've noticed many have far more models on display then they did a year ago.. I think it's a combination of the price increase & economy, but that's just my guess But definitely a good time to find stock if you're in the market for one I guess....

Anyone use Watch Battery Central?
OK...I thought I had someone local to do battery changes and repairs and then I got a watch back with scratches. I know scratches happen, but this was not handled well The scratches were buffed out and the case looks OK, but I'm not ready for that kind of treatment again.So I found this place on the internet, (Mod Edit. Sorry not a sponsor) :(, All they do is battery changes.I'm hoping for feedback from someone who has used or uses this vendor for battery changes. They seem to have decent regular prices and they offer water resistance testing and expedited service if required.

So I tried this today. Heart is still racing and I must have it.
I finally got to try this beauty on.These pictures don't do the dial or the watch any justice. She is an absolute stunner.The 15202 is just something different.How do you think she wears on my puny 6.25 wrists?I found the 15450 37mm to be too small. Personally think this watch fits really well, and the thin case really helps as well.I am trying to stay patient so that I can save some more money for a few more months before I pull the trigger on my 25th Birthday this November.I keep trying to tell myself to wait because it will feel better after the wait, but I am not sure if I will be able to.I have yet to try the Patek 5711 which was the contender for me, but after trying this, I don't even know if I want to try the Nautilus. The Jumbo is just incredible!Also have had several people tell me the 5711 would be more suitable for a person of an older age; Not sure I agree.Here are the pics. Automatic time
Ok, so I need to know from you experts what kind of time an automatic watch is supposed to keep to be considered state of the art. I've had cheap $10 quartz watches that kept perfect time and all banged up but worked fine for years. I bought a rolex in 2005 and was thinking that the time it would keep would be perfect but it was off by more than a minute every few days. I then bought the Longines Hydroconquest which keeps time within a few seconds every day and then the most recent Omega purchase which is off a few seconds every day as well. I think over the years and then after reviewing this website that these pricey watches although very nice arent able to keep better time than a cheap quartz which kind of leaves me wondering if these purchases were a little bit foolish in the sense of timekeeping anyway. I look forward to more educated comments on this subject.
