U Boat 1883 wrist watches news:
The below article was written by contributor Marco, who sells watches from Bell and Ross.Maintenant, most of the people who know of it know that the watch of Bell and Ross BR-01 was designed to look like instruments in aircraft cockpit namely the altimeter or other similar analog gauges. Aircraft require a lot of gadgets to run, however, so Bell & Ross took their idea of the Instrument and expanded to include other important Radar flight instrumentation. BR01 Radar will be produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. It displays the time using three discs, each marked with a joyously colourful line with indicates a unit of time.
High folks, I believe this is my 3rd post. I was only on one other forum in this big place but I have a feeling I wont be going back there. After doing some more research on watches and finding less than positive things about a brand I had interest in I decided to get an orient. From what ive found they are an honest company with good ethics, great quality and fair prices for what you get. The one I just picked up is the Orient CEZ05001B. Nice 3-D carbon fiber dial, power reserve, sapphire and nicely dressed movement. I really am super pleased with the quality of this piece. I also picked up a cheap rotary since It was a pretty good deal. It belongs here too I believe due to its ST16 movement. Just wanted to share some pics of both. Thanks for lookingThe Rotary 300B
I just picked up my new Divers date today,Blue face. Sorry no pic's yet....tomorrow.I'm a bit confused. My watch face only has marker lines between the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock position. On the website and in most pic's here from even 2008 are showing a face with the same lines, but also with dots between the other time markers. Did i get an old model? I was expecting the one that most of you have in your pic's and on the website.
The Premier Maximus 16 size is a carefully finished and adjusted Waltham 23j Vanguard without the movement decoration. Before w.w. 1 came with silver box and 45 day British observatory trial accuracy certificate. Their best rail road watch plus. $400 in 1916. $732 in 1931 did not have cert. and sterling box then. The Premier photos are not mine. The catalog pages are from my 2 rare distributor catalogs. These showed list prices so that retailers could use as customer sales tools to help compete with Sears and Wards. All U.S. watches in these except Gruen who only sold direct for best customer support. Notice $732 for a $500 watch. The retailer got 50%+ discount then according to letter with the book. Recent sale for one over $10,000 and it is merely a refined gold cased $1000 Vanguard with wind indicator, or a $2000 conventional Maximus in gold case. My photo.
I have a nice collection - this would be the PM grail piece.White Gold is tough because I have so many stainless steel watches - I'd have to say no go on the white gold.YG GMT with green faceYG GMT with black faceDD in RG - must have batons, not romans or diamondsDD in YG - must have batons, not romans or diamondsYG Sub Black FaceYG Sub Blue Face(I love the stainless blue dial sky dweller, but getting it for 12k when it's retail price is 14k, not getting it for 22k)Thoughts? Am I missing something?
