U-Boat 1838 wrist watches news:
pocket watch 1902 006.jpgpocket watch 1902 001.jpgpocket watch 1902 003.jpgpocket watch 1902 004.jpgpocket watch 1902 005.jpgI have recently found a men's pocket watch (it was my grandfather's), Longines, and I was able to pull the case and get a look atthe serial number and it was made in 1902 approximately. Inside the back of the watch is engraved 1453143 and what looks like CWCCO or perhaps CWC Co. and has an unusual trademark stamp of a star with a curved line (like a shooting star) coming down from it. Inside the back that closes in the works is "Warranted" 25 years and then "Crescent". On the works is the serial number 1404164 which is what I used to trace it's age. Have any of you seen this type of marking inside the case? Or can you tell me any more information I would need. It does not work and has long since lost it's hand for the second dial. Is there anyone out there thatcan help me out on this. I took some pictures but they didn't turn out very well. Thanks so much.MH
Hi all,I have not delve into B retiring in a long time. And never thought I would until I saw a Transocean while passing a local jeweler. I did a double take on a black one on mesh bracelet. I just loved the simplicity of the dial, as I wear suits for work, and the refined look. Didn't look like a Breitling. The black dial would complement the rest of my collection. Questions; How is that mesh bracelet? Is is comfortable and versatile? What kind of strap can I put on it if I wanted a different look?Any comments and pictures greatly appreciated as I am eager to add it to my collection. Thanks and Happy New Year to all!Roger
Haven't set it yet.
i just got my watch back from RSC and i see that the crown is no longer flush when screwed down. it was flush before.they did replace the crown and tube, along w/ doing a full factory service. i unscrewed the crown to set the time and screwed it back down, it did indeed stop short of flush.i'm asking if this is within tolerance or if i should have them fix it.sorry for the crappy photo, but i think it gets the point across.
Can a modern Rolex handle golfing semi regularly?Bonus question: How about tennis?Tiger Woods and Roger Federer put their rolexes on after the match. Just my observation. Thanks
