Ulysse Nardin Ulysse Nardin 51299 wrist watches news:
Just picked up this sweet little 1928 Elgin on the Swamp:I thought I had seen it before but didn't know where. Then I remembered it reminded me of an Elgin "William Osler" model I had seen on Bryan's site. So I bid on it and won.Has a two-tone 14k gold-filled Wadsworth case:Bezel is 14K ygf while back is 14K wgf:Has a nifty 17 jewel, 483 grade, 18/0s size, movement that dates to 1928 according the serial number in the Elgin database. It also says this was Elgin's first 18/0s size movement:Also has what looks to be an original dial with nice embossed numerals (check out that stylized "7"!):I e-mailed some photos to Bryan and asked if this was an Elgin in the "William Osler" line. He said he thought it was from the "Clubman" model line. He said he had one and was going to put it up for sale on his web-site soon. When he does, I'm sure it will contain his usual weatlh of knowledge. If anyone has any other info., or photos, let me know.thanksMark S.
Hey All:I was thinking about how diverse our watches are here and how I love them all.So I started thinking, who are our medal winners. I can't do a vote, as there are so many choices, I'd hate to leave anyone out so how about we let this thread run for a month.Everybody can post two choices for their favorite watch in the following categories:1. Under $5002. Under $10003. Under $25004. Under $50005. Under $10,0006. 10k PlusI will tabulate all of the results and announce the winner of our Gold Silver and Bronze Medal Winners at the end of one month.
I'm wondering if any of you know if the 41ROC Bracelet will fit on the 15407? AP Clearwater was unsure as they gave me a yes & no in the same phone calls. Based on the post below i believe it should work but wanted everyones input..Quote:
Hi All Quite sometime ago I purchased a lady datejust for my daughter and she has managed to lose the translation manual, personally I don't think that its a big problem when it comes to value, however at the same time I would like to ensure that if it come to it she could sell the watch (very unlikely) for the absolute maximum price. I have been trying to locate a warranty translation manual for over a year now and I just cannot find any information at all, can anyone point me in the right direction of the part number that I should be looking for when doing my searches for a late 2002 translation warranty manual? TIA
Hi everyone! I have been using my GMTIIC as my daily watch for almost 5 years, and am looking to buy another watch. I am currently debating between a white/silver dial 15400ST or a YM 116680 (pre- 2017 Baselworld hands) and would like some input as I have concerns over both watches.116680 - I love the look and feel of the watch, but worry it might be too similar to the GMTIIC. 15400 - Very different watch to diversify (pro), but as I am still 21, I am worried of how it will hold up without a ceramic bezels.I would appreciate any input!
