After almost 6 years...
The battery on my SMP is beginning to die as the second hand now jumps in 4 second intervals. What is the best way to go about replacing the battery? Do I need to ship it off to Omega?

Patek 2450 - reference and dating Q's
I have a new_to_me Patek - a 35mm rose gold identifed at ref. 2450. Looking at the Antiquorum catalogue and my various books, I see this reference no. with a couple different case designs. The case serial number also does not fit into the listings at: Brittons Patek dating. In looking at the movement number I suspect the watch dates to the early 50's . The watch needs service (broken set lever) and some cleanup and I am weighing the best course of action with an eye towards getting it back onto the market - and a bit more background on this reference and it's age would be helpful.

Hi guys, I recently acquired a 14060 and 16710. Very happy with both. I have small wrists, about 6', so the 5 digits feel more comfortable compared to the newer 6 digits pieces. However, because the number of removable links is lesser than the 6 digit bracelets, the clasp doesn't sit nicely in the middle of my wrist. My question is 1) will removing a permanent link or 2 lower the value of the watch in the future when I want to sell it off2) if I sell it later would it be an issue for the new owner to add more links to the braceletAppreciate any comments, especially from guys who have done it before. How many full-size links in the 2016+ Explorer 214270 bracelet?
Hello TRF,I'm looking into a deal on a 214270 Explorer (mk2 / Post 2016 Basel World), and was wondering if anyone knew how many full size links are supposed to come on its oyster bracelet?Not including end links, it seems as if it should come with 12 full size links (6 at 12 and 6 at 6), and the 13th adjustment link under the clasp. However, I can't find anything to confirm this.Can anyone who owns one confirm or post pics of their unsized bracelet? How much should I reasonably ask to discount the watch if it is missing a link?Any help is appreciated!Thanks!
